I agree that this place is kind of an ideal place for backpackers to stay and meet each other and is reccommended for outdoor activity lovers.

Such a good place! Great for meeting people and so many things to do even though it is outside the main town. It is all the best things about individual hostels around the world all brought into the one place. Even got given ALL the gear needed to go skiing up the mountain for a fraction of the usual cost. Doug is a good man. Keep it up.

Worth it for sure!!!! Beautiful scenary, tonnes to do in the area. Pool table hottub sauna and sooo much more! Super nice chill guy!!

Even if there were some Problems with the reservation, it was an excellent stay there. Dough is a really friendly guy, the spa, sauna and everything else is brilliant! Would recommend it to everyone who wants to stay a few days in the mountains on a real cosy place! BIG LIKE!

The hostel is perfect! It's situated about twenty minutes from Innsbruck. Doug is very friendly and always willing to help.

Even though I had some problems with the reservation, the hostel is awesome!! Doug is a great guy! Highly recommended!!

really cool and cosy. Doug and his coworkers were really great, they will hangout with you, go in the hot tub or sauna, playing some really fun games. Beds are comfy. You can join them for dinner (at a small fee), rent snowshoes. They have a huge list of suggestions of what to do during your time there

Doug's Mountain Getaway. It's a nice, small hostel where you can really get to know the other travelers, as the common areas are very fun to be in and cozy. Doug and his staff are also super nice and helpful, and one night they invited everyone out to go drink at the bars a couple towns up. They also helped us get started with ski rentals and where to go on the nearby ski resort (which is also a lot of fun, even for beginners!) The rooms were nice and clean.

It was a home away from home. Doug and his team made me feel very welcome. All the facilities were amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Doug's Mountain Getaway is easily one of the best places I have stayed at in the past 7 months travelling through Europe. I can't recommend the place highly enough! Doug is a great host who is very welcoming and is always willing to offer you things and activities to do. Honestly you will never get bored here, so many things to do. Beds are really comfortable. It is like staying at a friends place, keep up the great work Doug.

F***ing EPIC! I would of happily never left the place. The surrounding area was great for skiing and provided so many activities. The hostel had everything you could need; a sauna, a spa, an outstanding selection of boardgames, and a massive hard-drive full of cool movies (Art of Flight is a must see). Doug was an excellent host and took us out to the best local attractions. He also speaks German which was an added bonus when trying to suss out the taxi service. Legend.

It is just like everyone said: great place, you never want to leave. It is like staying at a rich friends country house. A note on the location: it is ok if you dont have a car, the bus stop is really close. Do print a little map before you go, however. The streets make weird curves and are not signalized. If you have a little map you will find the place in no time. Go and you wont regret
