One of the best hostels where i stayed. Helpful staff and delicious traditional slovak meals.

We stayed two nights in a twin room, which had a balcony, which my smoker friend loved. The reception staff were very helpful, though the bar staff were not quite so friendly. It was lovely to have a bar to relax in, and it was well away from sleeping areas, so no noise or anything, and breakfast is good and exceptionally cheap!

I really enjoy my stay in the hostel. The staff was very nice, everything was clean and the atmosphere was unbeatable. I highly recommend it to everybody, also the prices are cheap in order to have something to eat qith the daily menu.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in! Unique, ideal location, clean, fun place with great prices. Has its own bar and restaurant which helps with the atmosphere and a good place to meet people. We were given a welcome drink as soon as we arrived - sweet as! You get a discount on food and drinks as hostel guests. Staff were great, made us feel welcome and gave us lots of advice on what to see and do in the city. Big common room where you can chat with other guests. Definitely recommended!

Hi I must say the hostel exceeded my expectations. Great hospitality, lovely girls, good beer! I'm having a year off traveling across the Europe and Bratislava, especially Downtown Backpackers Hostel was nice place to rest. Despite the cold weather, the atmosphere at the hostel was warm!! Thanx and hopefully see you this summer!

Very good hostel, even we just stay for one night. the staff is good, she gave us so many good suggetion about the trip and kept the very nice attitude. I love the piano in the lounge! you can feel the old time by furnitures in this old building.

I spend a wonderful time at the hostel. Staff was very helpful. They recommended cool bars and clubs to me. What I appreciated the most, especially next morning after heavy party was that the hostel had its own restaurant and bar - good coffee:) Great location - everything is very close. Bratislava is small city, but I love people there!! And I almost forgot, but I have to share this one - I slept in "Warhol's" room with Warhol's pictures painted all over the walls! I will definitely come back!

Location is good and so are the staff. The shower was clogged the first night however it was fixed quickly. There is a bar downstairs which is handy if you want to have a drink.

They say at hostelworld that they offer you free breakfast but its a lie! You have to pay for the breakfast. i showed the website to the hostel staff and they were really rude. they said that the website was wrong and that they couldnt do anything!! The sheets are really old and durty. the kitchen doenst smell good. the bathroom are just terrible, too small and always durty. the location is perfect, near to everything you need in bratislava. the welcome drink is really nice.

by far one of the best stays in a hostel i have had.very clean,good food and its 5 minutes walk from everything.The owner mathew was very nice and makes it a pleasant stay,he even drove us around! On the fisrt night the staff from the other hostel invited us out and showed us a party which was good bc we didnt know the place.will come back again. jess

this is a good place for a short stop in a old building with character. but i think it's better if the staff can speak english...

The hostel has a good pub/restaurant with a great kitchen to cook something. The downside is more likely the city.

As good as it gets for a hostel. Situated in the centre of town, walking distance to train station and checkpoints. Cosy common room, nice girls staff and really spacious dorms. Had a great time there. The best party in the bar down!!! thank you and surely again the next time..

Very nice hostel and restaurant/bar. Wonderful staff who are obviously well travelled and know what is important for travellers. They always gives you great tips what is worth to see and what not. All details are much appreciated. Very close to fancy streets, historical centre and train station, only 4 min. by bus. There are very good prices in the restaurant down and the food was really delicious. I also enjoyed the piano in common room. Felt just like home. Would recommend to anybody else.

nice place, hostel is situated in historlcal building with lot of character. Best common room ever, they have piano ther! Also is there a restaurant with bar in same house where is hostel, great food and bear for low prices. I want stay there again!
