Yikes! My girlfriend and I have stayed in a lot of hostels this trip, and this was probably the worst. It is located near the matatu station, in a very busy and somewhat sketchy area. There is no sign (in Aug. 2013), making it impossible to find. There are few lights, and the hostel's interior is drab cement, with dirty toilets, dirty showers, and dirty rooms. But the worst part is the club across the street, making sleep before 4am impossible. Only good thing is the helpful staff, Monica.
We arrived at night and were a bit afraid, because the entrance is quite scary at night...and also there was no sign, so we weren´t sure whether there is really a hostel. But when the owner opened the door and welcomed us, every doubt was forgotten, because she was absolutely lovely and tried to help us in any way she could. And at daylight the entrance wasn´t as scary as at night. The only issue was that there was no hot water, but they wanted to fix it. All in all a nice stay and great staff!
