Drafty room, corridors reminiscent of The Shining, dried blood on sheets, not particularly helpful staff. More like a hotel than a hostel. On the other hand, close to the train and bus stations and the cheapest we could find in town! I was there on a research trip so I never got to enjoy the full amenities such as free pool (after 4pm) and the nice bar/games room. The wireless internet was inexpensive and the menu in the in-house kitchen was brilliant. Loved the thai curry. The staff were friendly and were great in answering all my random questions during their 24/7 service.I rented a car and was able to park for free over night (6pm-8am) + on the docks during the day. A very relaxed atmosphere. Always tidy. Rooms are old, but quite neat to stay in. Staff tend to be more interested in their work,then meeting and greeting guests. Which I feel should be 90% of their job responsiblity. However, we had a great time and great food and prices at the cafe. CheersA very relaxed atmosphere. Always tidy.
