Big hostel with a Massive kitchen. Good location for the ferry terminals. Bit too big to be homely but definately convinient for passing through.

Drafty room, corridors reminiscent of The Shining, dried blood on sheets, not particularly helpful staff. More like a hotel than a hostel. On the other hand, close to the train and bus stations and the cheapest we could find in town! Guess you get what you pay for...

Very Old Building. Not much to do at this hostel but on the plus side is close to the train station

I was there on a research trip so I never got to enjoy the full amenities such as free pool (after 4pm) and the nice bar/games room. The wireless internet was inexpensive and the menu in the in-house kitchen was brilliant. Loved the thai curry. The staff were friendly and were great in answering all my random questions during their 24/7 service.I rented a car and was able to park for free over night (6pm-8am) + on the docks during the day. It has a bar next door but the nightlift is across town

A very relaxed atmosphere. Always tidy. Rooms are old, but quite neat to stay in. Staff tend to be more interested in their work, then meeting and greeting guests. Which I feel should be 90% of their job responsiblity. However, we had a great time and great food and prices at the cafe. Cheers
