Very good hostel

The location will be sure to give your legs a workout as its situated upon a very steep hill and then you need to walk up five flights of stairs as there is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage or am tired don't even think about it. If you arrive late at night ringing the door bell will be pointless as the hostel wont hear it or answer you so you had better have the number handy. The floors are very thin so when other guests or management walk it sounds like a loud train/very noisy!

The hostel is in a great location, right off the main street, and is very clean, staff is super friendly (Hi Lyuda!) The only downside is that it doesn't have a real stove, just a hot plate, and limited pots/pans. But if you're not planning to cook, there's a bunch of reasonably priced restaurants nearby.

My stay at downtown hostel was very enjoyable/ rooms clean, staff extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend downtown hostel to anyone traveling in Kiev. John.

Cool place, nice people around.Located very conveniently. Lots of information about various places to visit, particularly I liked Chernobyl tour. Would definitely recommend.
