Boxes or lockers for valueables would be nice, for eg. camera equipment.

I didn´t noticed any security locker for valuables. The English skills depends on who works that day, however staff is nice and try to help. There is lack of kitchen equipment, only some cups, cutlery and a pot (no plates).There is metro close to the hostel and a small supermarket as a neighbour. It is a calm hostel with only 3 rooms. Only one shower and one toilet, but around 13-14 beds. No heavy suitcases are recommended, five floors without elevator.

Nice kitchen, comfortable beds, and close to everything. Very good value for the money. Its a small and homey place, as advertised.

Downtown Hostel was definitely a great choice. Its location is excellent with all the main spots in a relative close distance. Vita, who is a member of the staff, is very helpful and friendly. We would really recommend this hostel if you want to spend some great time within a nice atmosphere and for a low price.

Downtown, and special Lydmila Nikolaevna, thank you for my excelent celebration of New Year! Very pleased hostel for holiday in winter and in summer. It placed in the center of Kiev. There are three metrostations in the district(7 minutes walking). Always clean,warm and funny. Lydmila Nikolaevna have nice vocal and violin. Dear Lyda, thank you for ALL!

This hostel is in center of Kiev. It's 4 minuts from Khreshchatyk street and 10 min from subway station. Hostel based on 3th-room apartment with kitchen and hallway. Toilet and bathroom were very clean. Ludmila was very friendly and helpful and speek english well. Nice place. I was satisfied, so can recommend this. I will stay here again next time.

This is the best hostel i visited in my life and surely it is not the first. the atmosphere... i filled like being at home since the first moment. i will do the best to visit the city again just to stay in this hostel.

It has a very good location, nice & clean rooms, but the best about this hostel is the really nice girls who work there Gallina and Irina they make the difference...So I can recomend this Hostel to every1.... Gabor

In one word - first-rate. It was the best proposition for me with excellent value for money and comfort.I have not so much free time for visiting Kiev, but I`ll try to find more in future. Of course , everybody like Hilton, but Down Town - is good alternaive for those, who don`t want to spend a lot of money , but get everything that is in need!

This was a cheap hostel in a great location.They had very good service and was always very helpful. Everything was pretty much as I expected it to be and was overall a great stay.
