We loved our stay at Downtown hostel, it's more like a BandB, so that you feel totally free and independant. The house is incredibly warm and cosy, and the owners are very nice and helpfull. We recommend the restaurant Toques de la Patagonia,on avenida Espana 10 mn from the hostel, the dishes are original and delicious.

I would not really call this a hostel since it only has privat rooms and not a lot of common space or activities going on, but despite that, we had a good stay here. The owner also runs a traveling agency and can tell you about the area. The location is a bit outside the centre but still within walking distance. Pleasant breakfast and good taken care of comfortable rooms.

We had a private room with private bath. The hostel is a large house, very quiet, and spacious. The owners were very nice and live in a separate house in the back, which was great for privacy but not so great when you needed something. The doorbell to the hostel is separate from the owner's house, so when the doorbell was unexpectedly ringing at 6:30 am, I had to go get the owners and wake them up. There is no stove to use or any bowls (there is a microwave). We really enjoyed it though!
