Pinocchio isn't a typical hostel: there is no sign at the entrance or a reception. It is actually an apartment consisting of a couple of rooms, kitchen, bathroom and a common room with table and chairs. The stay in the hostel was a great experience but not because of the designer furniture, a lavish barthroom or whatnot but because of the owner, Joaquin, who offered me and my boyfriend advice about sightseeing Palma and Mallorca, showed us good placed to eat and was a great host all around.

It's hard to find the first time as it's not marked as a hostel, it's just in an apparent block. First night I got back late and the key did not open the lock. Slept at a friend, luckily, then returned in the morning the key worked. Was given no sympathy or any compensation of any kind. Just one night waisted.

It was a great time to spend at Pinochio Hostel. Although it's not kind a typical hostel, it's worth to come and meet Joaquin. He is one of the most interesting and nice people I've ever met. If you are for the first time in Mallorca or in Spain, it would be the best to visit this place and get to know some practical, historical information. With it stay in Mallorca is much easier and nicer ;)

GREAT EXPERIENCE MY STAY IN PINOCCHIO )))) We really enjoy the stay in the hostel, Joaquin was telling us lots of information about Palma and Mallorca, he suggest us great places to have excelent TAPAS and WINE for a really good price. He also told us many tips and secrets about visits in Palma, we went to the fresh fishmarket and have a great meal, the staff were really helpfull and nice and my visit was really agreable, I think is an ideal place to discover the real Palma City. ENJOY )

We had to wait more than 30 minutes to get into the apartment. Their was no sighn, no name on the building. 5 rooms have to share 1 bath. The bathroom was dirty, old, and for example the shower cutain was torn. The citchen was really old and disgusting. There wasn´t enough plates, glases, cuterly,... neither things to clean (only really used and dirty swabs). Also it was really clairaudiend.

I am sorry to say that although the staff at Pinocchio we very nice and friendly the accommodation its self was poor. The only plus side to these was the washing machine which was good. The shower bracket was broken so my wife had to hold the shower for me and vice/versa. Then on one day it broke altogether. The kitchen facilities were disgusting, very dirty and very poorly equipped. there wasn't even a kettle. Also the linen we were provided with seemed to have not been washed and as very old.
