g good place to stay in Barcelona, great location and great staff. Facilities are great, my only complaints would be the double bed was way too short for both my partner and I and the WiFi didn't work in our room, we had to go out to the reception area to use it. Value for money is hard to find in Barcelona. Staff and location make this place.

Staff was too kind and helpful. Hostel was quiet, really nice for a good night's sleep. Location is really good, walking distance nearly all cool places. We only stayed one night but definitely will choose again if we'll go to Barcelona again. Wi-fi is only available near computers at common areas, not in all rooms.

I stayed here twice, in 2009 and 2013, both in early June. Each time, I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities, the location, the atmosphere, and the helpfulness of the staff. My accommodations were pleasant, though I didn't stay in the high-occupancy rooms. The outdoor courtyard is a plus. The location is very central, on an unusually quiet street in a busy neighborhood. It can be hard to find (even using Google), as it has a similar name to another hostel. Maybe they like it this way?

Only stayed 1 night but staff was super friendly and bathrooms were clean. Location is pretty solid. Could be closer to main area if you are not that sort of thing.

Nice hostal, friendly and helpful staff, cool decor. Best thing was the location is very central. Downside was extremely strong smell of orange cleaner in our room, and our toilet leaked/had troubles flushing, but nothing serious.

Very cool set-up and decor. Communal: kitchen, dining room, living room w/tv & terrace were very spacious and clean. Our double room with ensuite bathroom was very nice, but could have used another cabinet/set of drawers. Staff was friendly and helpful in providing directions, info, tour/attraction ideas, restaurant advice, etc. Loved that there was a FREE hairdryer available for use and good FREE wifi. We have stayed at 20+ hostels over the past 2 months, and yours was by far the best!

I was very pleased with my stay at Downtown Barcelona Hostel. I found your staff very friendly and helpful and very accomodating to our requests. I was having credit card issues at the beginning of my stay, and I appreciated your staff's willingness to give me a day to clear up the issue. I felt very safe and comfortable. I also appreciated the cleanliness of your facilities, expecially the bathrooms. If I ever visit again, I would be more than happy to stay at your hostel.

They are definetly situated just a few steps from downtown. Their location is awesome. Staff was really friendly and gave great recomendations about things to do and places to visit. The hostel was clean and they had an awesome area for lounging. Most of the rooms (maybe all) have shared bathrooms but they are clean so it does not matter.

The staff is very nice, the location is excellent just a few streets from Las Ramblas and Liceu station, they were very nice and gave us free maps of the city which were very usefull through the journey, every question was answered i think no one can complain about it.

The name of the hostel has changed and it isn't labeled very well, so it can be a bit tricky to find. The address listed is accurate. The location is in an alleyway but it is quite close to La Rambla and Liceu. Cons: For some reason, the hostel's credit card reader wouldn't accept my card even though I have never had a problem with it in Europe before. One of the neighbors has an annoying, yippy dog, but the hostel can't control that. Pros: Really nice and helpful staff, bright colors, location.

The colors and atmosphere of this hostel are truly unique. It makes this place brighter, which automatically puts you in a fun and festive mood - perfect for Barcelona. The Staff is extremely helpful to. They suggest all the right places to eat and places to see. The paella restaurant suggested to us offered some of the best paella I ever tasted. My only critique would be the wifi. In community space, it works great. But in the bedrooms it tends to dull or null.

A great place! There is heating so soaked clothes can dry. It was out of season so not many people were in the hostel - it was quiet. But possiby it can be noisy as you can hear everything through the walls. Also we couldn't find the hostel at the beginning, only a small logo near entryphone. Otherwise absolutely fantastic, specially place to sit outside on the roof, between two very Spanish buildings!

We found a very friendly staff that helped us whenever they could (reservations for a Flamenco-evening, borrowed a hairdryer). We loved the colourful hostel with a pretty stone floor and a clean kitchen. Our room was located just next to the big terrace, where we had a siesta in the sun. The beds werde comfortable. Unfortunately we could'nt regulate the heating, which was on its highest level. The hostel is close to the Ramblas, so it's a good place to start sightseeing by foot or by metro/bus.
