These guys very sneakily screwed me around for the inauguration week. It cost me a lot of money and stress.

It was great. I love the place.

Perfect for 2 days

The staff was great! The guys who actually operate the business are frequently there and are doing a lot of work (sadly something you don't always see at hostels)! Also, I promised that I would mention the toilet paper is great! They don't skimp on the very important stuff. It is also worth mentioning that laundry is free to do here (as well as the detergent). This saved my rear in a pinch. Great place, totally recommend!

Impressive

Hostel staff were ok. But room had outlets that did'nt work. Could not sleep due to talking from others. Felt showers were too unclean to use. Location is in a rather shabby area near the Union station. If you want a clean, quiet place to rest, try another hostel. Also the smell of all the shoes you had to take off in the hallway was not very welcoming. The "free laundry" was dirty and I did'nt want to use it. I felt the sheets were not clean and I was right as I got a bad case of bed bugs.

Nice atmosphere and staff. A couple of extra bathrooms would be nice though...

Had a great time. The staff was cool, I stayed in a 6 bunk room - it was nice and quiet. During the day virtually no one is there in the evening is when most people come back in. I saw previous that stated that there was only one bathroom but that is incorrect. There is one bathroom on the first floor and 2 bathrooms on the second floor. It was in walking distance of all of the tourist attractions. I loved my stay and would visit again.

I really enjoyed the very fun, kind atmosphere and staff.. Free breakfast with amazing pancakes;), free high speed internet, free laundry.

I had interview next day , I am a professional , there was lot of noise in common room which was disturbing us a lot, including high TV volume and conversation noise, I could not sleep till 2:30 am and suffered headache, I complained . they never heard. Real bad experience as for as my stay is concerned as a professional, would not recommend if someone goes for anything professional, but if you go for fun, it would work great.

The pancakes were awesome. I loved the atmosphere in the common room. But, the website needs some help...

Living in this hostel felt more like living with roommates. We had a lot of fun. This hostel isn't for people who like to keep to themselves. Liked the pancakes everyday :-). Only minus: the mattresses were kind of saggy.

It's great value is a location. There is no real breakfast in fact just terrible pancakes, no drinks at all - only tap water, outlets in room didn't work, 2 showers for whole hostel are busy all the time.

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed at. Very excellent and helpful staff, in a perfect location. I couldn't ask for more!

Small hostel which meant that everyone staying got to know each other. Staff were super friendly - our luggage was lost on our way to DC and the guys at the desk offered toiletries and a change of clothes! Not only that, but the girl at the desk also took the time to print off a list of venues for NYE that were close by for our convenience! Capitol Hill is about 15-20min walk away but taxis are everywhere anyway - theres a supermarket a few steps away and bars are about 5 mins down the road

Not the best neighborhood, but easy to go to the center of the city by bus that goes from right outside, close to Union Station. 6-bed dorm room was great and cozy. Staff not as helpful as they could be, I did not feel welcome to ask them questions, let alone chat. Not the best friendly atmosphere you could get to comment as a whole. Setup of 3 complete restrooms was interesting, but not the best to accommodate many people's restroom needs.

I like this hostel. I travelled by myself and met different people there. I even found my roommate knew one of my friends. What a small world! There are free breakfast and free Sunday dinner-good chance to talk to different people. I walked everyday, to Capitol Hill, to Natioanl Gallery of Arts and so on and I didn't need to take metro or bus. The staff there are responsible and nice. There is a fridge! Great! And also free laundry and free hair dryer . I enjoyed my stay there and I recommend it
