Downtown Washington Hostel Reviews

Rooms aren't cleaned well, though the owner thinks they are twice a day. So dust everywhere and it stinks. Rooms are pretty cold and not ventilated well enough. Facilities are fair, though the space is too small for the number of guests (8 chairs at the dinner table and sometimes they're occupied by staff). Staff is not ok, they're unprofessional and can be rude. Told the owner, but he never got back to us. There aren't enough bathrooms so expect a line and no shoes allowed (which is pretty odd)

It was great to stay here. Staff are so nice. I like its location where is 15 minutes far from National Mall by walking and looks safe. It's clean over all and you might not wait for using bathroom. They have free laundry machine and tourist attraction, restaurant information with a map. I highly recommend Downtown Washington Hostel to you! I'm sure you'll like it :)

The owner was a bit mad at us because we missed his christmas dinner. It was just a long time that I hadn't seen my girlfriend (which was staying in the same hostel with another reservation) so i just wanted to spend time with her. Otherwise it was a really nice place despite the mouses or rats? (I haven't seen them but my friend did)

Nice place to stay. Not so far from the capitol. I could walk to most of places. I recommend.

Great hostel, with an amazing staff. The atmosphere of the hostel is friendly and is a great place to meet new people. The laundry is free and the internet is fast.

This was an awesome hostel and we would definitely stay there again!

The hostel is very good. The staff is excellent, very helpful. It's very well located (near to Union Station). It's a bit noisy at night, but if you like to go out at night, you'll like this place.
