Dozy house was a home rather than a place to stay. The staff was not only sweet (special thanks to Jina), but they kept the place in great condition, created a safe and warm feeling, and were kind enough to help us find another place during one of the busiest times of the year when we came unprepared the day of the Loi Krathong festival. I couldn't have chosen a better stay (especially considering the reception that I received from other hostels while searching for a place to stay one night).
These days that we have spent at Dozy House were simply amazing. We will definitely recommend this hostel to everyone who visits Chiang Mai,and there are many reasons for that - firstly, the atmosphere. It's very cozy, and you feel yourself at home. Secondly - the location - it took us about 10 mins to get everywhere we wanted. But the most important thing is the staff. Thank you, Gina, for everything you made for us, we wish happiness to all your sweet family! Good luck!
The staff was really friendly. This hostel is in a non principal Street which makes it really quiet. I meet some new friends there and everything was very nice. They even helped us with a little problem we had (non related with the hostel). I hope to come back again soon.
Very helpful and friendly owner. She helped booking spa and tours. Towels to rent (20 Baht), extra blanket (20 Baht), laundry (80 Baht), airport service (200 Baht).
We had a wonderful stay at Dozy House, it's in a great location, the rooms are really nice, clean and spacious and the staff are fantastic, they were always more than happy to help and made our stay in Chiang Mai very enjoyable :) if we we've come back to Chiang Mai we will be returning! Thanks Dozy House!!
A bit quiet, given the number of people staying there, but facilities were good, and the staff is really friendly!
We stayed here for 6 nights and it was honestly amazing. When we first arrived it was quite early around 7.30am and Gina (the owner with who speaks exceptional English) welcomed us in for complimentary toast and tea for breakfast, which is available every morning! You can also buy whatever you want and keep it in the fridge in the shared kitchen. She then showed us absolutely everything we needed to know step by step on the Chiang Mai map. This was great as we had no idea and had nothing booked.

Great staff and spacious room. The location is away from the action (markets, restaurants and bars). If you want a quiet stay in a comfy room it's perfect, but if you want to be able to be out and exploring the far side of the city is a better spot to be.
Family run hostel with some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. Great facilities such as free tea, coffee, toast and eggs for 6 baht. Plus the exercise machine was a great bonus, ideal for sweating out those inevitable hangovers.
The staff here were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Their recommendations were spot on; and always did their best to make sure I was having a good time. Common area wasn't really used, but was easy to meet people in the dorm. Location was quiet and away from the backpacker area, but I could easily walk around the old city from Dozy.
I loved it! The host lady at the front was so great and helpful. Very cozy and friendly vibes here. Also great services and facilities are good too. I would highly recommend.
I had a wonderful stay. The staff are unbelievably nice, and the hostel is located in a quiet street within a boisterous city. Perfect. They have a kitchen where you can make yourself some eggs (6 B each!) and toast for breakfast, and they will help you out in whatever you need, be it renting a motorbike, calling a taxi, or suggesting a place to eat. If you don't go to Dozy for the soft blankets and the cool rooms, then go for the staff. It is truly a blessing to be around them.
Tough to find good restaurants in the area, but very nice clean place to stay. Friendly staff.
I enjoyed my stay at Dozy House a lot. The staff is very friendly, never in a bad mood and always willing to help. It is very convenient that you can book bus and tour tickets at the reception. Room and bathroom were clean enough, lockers were big. Common room did not really help meeting people, but I met some nice people in my room. Location for me was good, away from all the party noise (only a tuk tuk ride away though) but close to restaurants. Would definitely recommand staying here!
Quite possibly the best place we have stayed at whilst traveling , mainly due to very friendly owner - highly recommend! :-)

Gina was very helpful and helped us arrange a last minute cooking class. My main issue was that they did not say that there was a cat at the hostel and since I am allergic this was a bit of a problem. At the time of our visit the cat had just had kittens and was nursing them in the kitchen drawer near the food and cups, so if you are allergic be careful of the common area.
20 minute walk to centre. Clean, quiet. No big negatives
Brilliant hostel. Staff was so friendly. Met so many amazing people here!
A/c broke down, didn't sleep all night and the thing Jina said the next morning was that we should've put it on 25C. Well, didn't work either so with the 5 of us we where replaced to a private room, super intimate, all the beds where placed next to each other. Not for me! The matrassen where way too hard. They didn't clean the dorm and/or sheets. English of the staff could be better as well. Overall, i wouldn't stay here again.
