Great hostel in a fantastic location with helpful, English speaking staff. Be prepared to face the cold if you're on the roof and need to go to the bathroom.

Good hostel with boutique beers as a bonus brewed by the owner. Rooftop and some of the very helpful staff were a plus. Not so helpful night staff and intermittent hot water a minus. Absolutely great location, close to avenue Jose Larco. The main shopping area and casinos, the esplanade walk is also close, which was fantastic, good bakery/restobar underneath and mini marts are close. Could not have asked for better. One suggestion, tell first timers that they need to ring buzzer inside the gate

We only stayed from 11pm-7am dues to flights & bus tour booked so the hostel was good for the night. It had a really good vibe and very social atmosphere which we were sad we couldn't stay and experience. The fella on the night shift checked us in, showed us around and made sure we had coffee before we left in the morning. Clean bathrooms but the girls shower hot water timed in and out and the boys shower was all cold water which wasn't very pleasant but that's the only complaint.

Had an okay stay at Dragonfly. The WiFi connection is really good, services just lose out as there was no hot water in three days. There are quite a lot of people and very little common space - you will be lucky to find a charging point or a seat in the kitchen! the rooftop deck is cool and all the staff do make an effort. I also appreciate they have a separate rubbish bin for recyclables - I bet this seems like a funny thing to mention but so many hostels justthrow everything in the trash!

Dragon fly is a cute little hostel located in downtown Miraflores minutes from Kennedy Park, great restaurants, and about 15 minutes from the beach. The breakfast is average at best, but pretty typical carbs on carbs as per usual in South America. The terrace is really nice and offers deals on drinks most nights of the week. Overall, I would definitely suggest it and would stay again! Clean, clean, clean which I know is so vital to me when traveling!

The hostel was what we were expecting. Met a few new people while there, and the roof terrace was a nice spot to hang out. A bathroom in the hall was clogged for a whole day, and the place is noisy all the time, like music playing throughout the main floor at 6:30 am on a Sunday kind of loud. Also, when a woman was yelling on her cell phone at 3 am in front of the staff member, who did nothing, and friend left the place with bites on her stomach.

Comfortable beds, good location in Miraflores and really friendly staff. Oh and awsome good pressure, hot water showers! The breakfast is basic with bread and cereals. If they would change the cereals into gluten free cereals then the breakfast would have been suitable for gluten free people as well. A small change that would make many people happy. :)

Very nice place to stay with helpful staff, good breakfast and hot showers. Can be a bit noisy at night.

Super friendly staff. Great location.

Most of the staff (particularly Alonso) were brilliant and eager to assist. This hostel is, perhaps, a couple of blocks out of the way from the shopping district but well-located to the beach and, besides, if you can't walk a few blocks for entertainment, then what the hell are you doing in South America? You could stay at the Flying Dog Hostel, but the traffic and fumes would easily keep you up all night. Honestly, this is probably the best hostel experience I've had.

We stayed in a double room with en suite and overall enjoyed our stay. The bathrooms were a bit small but functional. There is a nice roof terrace with bar open til 11pm with a good (if slightly pricey) selection of craft beers, and the kitchen/dining area is a decent size. Cooking facilities are basic, as is the breakfast but there are lots of good restaurants and bars within a 10 -15 min walk to Parque Kennedy. The hostel also makes an effort to put on themed nights most days.

Fun hostel, in a great location in miraflores. Staff are really nice and helpful and the showers/wifi works really well. The place could do with a fresh coat of paint tho. Wouldnt say its that cheap, but miraflores is pricey are.

Please don't book any excursions through Sara, the travel agent. On two different occasions we were mislead by her. The hostal itself has a good location. The female staff way better then the guys. Breakfast was normal. The Wi-Fi was average.

This is without doubt the worst hostel I've stayed in. The room was hot & smelly and an absolute mess when we arrived, with items over the unoccupied beds (our beds) also. The staff were almost non-existent having to wait long periods at reception to speak with them. The breakfast was shocking, stale bread in a basket hidden away... that was it. No juice to be seen, nor tea, coffee, cereal, spreads. Lockers not big enough for bags. Rooms too small. Overall a small cramped, smelly, dirty hostel!

Owner Comment (Hide)
Dear, Thank you for your comments. We have different types of dorm and this is first time we have this type of complain. the day you arrived, we were fully booked, travelers have their staff and we recommend to arrange their belongings but we can not force them to do it. Concerning breakfast, we disagree your comment, there was everything on the table, fresh juice, organic coffee, bread was missing?, you could tell us and we could solve it immediately. Now we have fruit, cereal, yogurt.

Great staff - super friendly and helpful. Amazing location within walking distance to tons of bars, restaurants and shopping. Lovely rooftop terrace. Beds aren't super comfortable and light sleepers may have trouble sleeping in during the week as traffic is heavy on the street outside.

This is an ok hostel, in my opinion too expensive for what it is. I think the best option is the 10 bed dorm, there need to be more bathrooms and there isn't really a vibe, when i was there nobody was at the bar on the terrace ever which is a shame because I love open space.

Awesome place and very nice staff.

Can't complain about this hostel, staff lovely, beds comfy, wifi excellent (Netflix good), lovely rooftop, good location overall can't complain. Loved it

Great Hostel, arranged airport pickup even with our flight cancellations and delays. Room was small but clean and comfy, bathrooms great. Travel agent in house was the best we have talked to on our trip!

We loved our stay at Dragonfly - one warning though. Don't use the laundry service next door. Absolutely hopeless, was so late with our washing we almost missed our bus to Puno. We had paid extra to be done quickly. Then we found she hadn't returned some very expensive jeans. Not the hostels fault, just don't send anyone there. Worst laundry service in Peru.
