The staff was very friendly, the facilities were great, and the hostel was very clean. The atmosphere is very relaxed and because the common area is so nice, it's easy to meet people hanging out there. Great hostel.

It was a nice stay. But a bit too noisy at night. We had a room facing the common outdoor area, the kitchen and we had the plumming pipes in the wall, which all in all is a bit noisy when some people are showering and cooking both late at night and some others early in the morning.

Staff was awesome! One of the girls explained to us everything that we could see in Cairns and recommended the cruise to the reef that turned out to be an excellent choice! (She even booked it for us the evening before taking it). Next day she booked for us the car, so we could drive through an amazing rainforest with different lakes and falls. The place was clean andquiet when we went to sleep. The room was ensuite, and very spacious. The only negative point is the location, not in the center.

It's a very friendly hostel outside of the main centre. for the price you pay they could provide free wifi and air-con.

This was good value for a private double. Definitely a good sized, clean, modern, unique hostel. The computer room is locked at 9.00 (or a bit earlier) every night, this leaves very little time after dinner to plan for the following day or talk with friends back home etc. Both the internet and wi-fi are overpriced. The staff advice for activities was sales driven, and there wasn't a genuine feeling about the recommendations. We plan to try a different hostel or hotel Cairns next time.

We only had a very short stay, but the hostel beautiful, with good facilities and friendly staff. The double room couldn't have been more comfortable. I wish every hostel would be like that.

Best hostel we stayed on our trip and amoung the top 5 i\'ve stayed in ever. Not pretentious, fun without being bawdy, chilled without being dead and helpful without being interferring. Stayed in a private room with a very comfortable double bed, some storage and a fridge, saw into a dorm room and these looked nice too. Lots of different communal areas, good laundry facities, kitchens would be a bit of a squezze if more than 1 cooking but wasn\'t a prob for us and the hostel was full.

What a neat little place full of charm. Four of us booked out a quad share and were happy to laze around the outdoor couches while taking a break from exploring. Aircon worked well and the beds easy to sleep in after a long day. The staff was very helpful in suggesting and then booking our GBR trip and we felt very welcome and relaxed. I thought the cutlery and bowls/dishes were sparse in the upstairs kitchen and also the bathrooms were a bit rough at the end of day but I would stay here again!

Good hostel, would definitely come back. The internet situation where you have to pay per hour is ridiculous (maybe in the whole Australia?). Overall a good place to stay and meet people!

Very nice place. Wednesday night barbeque a highlight. Across the road from the Cairns Central Mall, and a short walk down to the lagoon. Knowledgeable hostel staff, lots of recommendations for trips, restaurants, bars, etc... No overcrowding of rooms, lots of public lounging areas. You can quite contently keep to yourself here, or, depending on the crowd, find a group to go out with. Not one of the wild party hostels, you are guaranteed a good night's sleep here.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a private room which wasn't bad but it didn't look like the picture on the website. Also, there were little bugs every where!! They were even in the bed. There aren't enough washers and dryers or showers. Not all the computers were available 24 hours and the one that was didn't have a headset. Where the hostile was situated was kind of out of the city. I would have liked to be closer to things.

This is my first Hotel experience and it was excellent. I live in Melbourne more than 4 years and whenever I pass back packers places in Melbourne or Sydney, I used to have very bad impression. Since I traveled alone this time, I wanted to try the hostel and chose DreamTime based on the review in Hostel World. My DreamTime experience of six nights have changes my view of back packers and I had a real dream time.. Thanks for Emma, Gillian and Chris for your welcoming friendly and active services.
