Loved my room. Kitchen was equipped with pots and pans which made groceries easy. Fantastic staff.

Really would benefit from daylight opening hours and to have movie nights later. 6.30 film is a bit early!

small but really lovely. one of the best hostels I stayed so far. will def staying there again when coming back to cairns. just loved it and the nights were great

Awesome hostel! Great staff (English Chris, Jess and Sarah), great location (right opposite Central mall) and some really good themed nights (pizza night, movie night, etc)! The ONLY negative thing I could possibly say about the hostel is there is no pool table, as advertised online.

A very nice hostel with lots of character. Room is spacious with lots of windows. AC available ($1 for 3 hours). There is no locker in room but it's generally safe in Australia. It's not located in city center but a short walk. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They would arrange free shuttles if the tour companies don't provide one. There are activities organized almost every night.

My second time here wasn't as long but still a had a great time. Staff were all very friendly and willing to help wherever they could. Although it's a bit of a walk to the Esplanade it's still in a good area and it's only a 10 minute walk anyway. Definitely a great place to base yourself if staying in Cairns.

The best backpacker I've stayed in Australia!

Unfortunatly we just stayed there One night. The hostel looks like little paradise with the poolarea and the places to hang out. There was a lot going on in the nights (fire shows,movie nights , etc) the other guests seem to enjoy. The City is a 7- 10 min walk away. A small mirror in the room would have been great and a trashcan in the showers/toilets.

The people at Dreamtime are really nice and helpful. They are very laid back and the hostel has a nice atmostphere. The walk to Cairns is about 10 minutes and it's nice that it's not loud or crazy at the hostel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We thought that they were very helpful in giving us information and booking our tours and tried to get us the best deal possible. They were also very clear in explaining our options. Really great hostel.

It's an awesome place! It was the best hostel in which i stayed during my time in Oz. Nearly every evening a special event, helpful staff, not too noisy after 10 pm, familiar atmosphere. I like it!!

all i can say is that i can highly reccomend this hostel to everybody! its good, clean, save, everyone is really nice and helpfull! i stayed for more than 1 week and there is nothing that i could complain about! the free meal wasn`t good and as u have to bye a drink also not really free, but thist is the same with all the other hostels and not dreamtimes fault! and as there are clean kitchens to use, one can easily cook his own food! so better pay a few dollars more and have a nice stay !

We really appreciated all of the assistance from the staff, in particular Chris, the manager, who gave excellent advice and booked our many adventures. The hostel allows for a very relaxed and enjoyable stay, with many quiet corners for small group activities. The hammocks are great! The location is very convenient for groceries and easy walking distance to all the city venues. Many thanks from the four Canadians!

Really enjoyed my stay here! It was a great place to chill out- not noisy and no annoying 18 year old party monsters!The staff were very nice, though the reception hours are a little annoying (closing 12-4pm, and then at 8pm).

Excellent hostel. Impeccable service and advice, perfect first hostel to start off Aus trip, the staff's advice on all the tours I booked through them were spot on. One of the best. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!

Positives: Nice and quiet location from the hustle and bustle of the Esplanade, but still close to all amenities. Liked the character and lay out of the buildings, they were in true Cairns style, and had all the necessary facilities. Had a very enjoyable stay here. Good for couples, singles and groups. Negatives: Can get noisy at night due to adjacent hostels, and paper thin walls between other rooms, so noise levels were a problem. Staff was fairly average.

Had a great time at this Hostel. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Rooms were spacious and good value. Staff were great and the whole crowd were really friendly. Kitchen was well-stocked and clean, as were the bathrooms. Also had movies on in the Courtyard and a BBQ. Would stay again and recommend to friends.
