Great hostel, easy to find, close to town but far enough away for a good night sleep. Staff exceptionally helpful

The hostel was excellent, the only problem I have with it is the lack of free wifi and free air conditioning, there was an air conditioner in the room but it was coin operated, not acceptable in the heat of cairns

Great hostel with a chilled and fairly quiet atmosphere. Fantastic staff and nice rooms. Could have done with a few more powerpoints in the rooms and a slightly bigger kitchen as you seemed to have to wait for you turn to cook. But apart from that it was a fantastic hostel. Thank you!

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.

Had a great stay at Dreamtime! There was a social event on pretty much every night ranging from a movie showing to an aussie bbq which really helped to meet fellow backpackers! Hostel was close to the supermarket but still a 15-20minute walk from the beachfront. Staff were a great help and we booked a really good reef trip through them! Would definitely stay again!

I enjoyed two nights in dreamtime with nice staffs, Chris and Erin, also other nice guests from all over the world. It is a good place to sleep and meet people. I will strongly recommend this hostel to everyone.

Great place -- has cool common spaces to hang out in, and I especially appreciate their no-nonsense quiet hours policy. Made for a fun place to stay, and a great place to get a good night's sleep.

Great place and great staff. Some ants on the bathroom floor, but otherwise clean. Internet is too expensive!

We were only there for one night, but the staff was incredibly helpful, and the free events were fantastic!

Fab place--Chris et al. were very friendly and helpful, and it was a great base for Cairns. Hammocks were great, 'jungle-like' courtyard relaxing and inviting. Rooms & facilities were great, and Clean.

My favorite hostel I've ever stayed at. Very friendly, helpful and a great environment. Just a short walk from everything in Cairns with a very helpful staff.

The only thing I would have missed if I'd stayd longer is lockers. And the reception ours are kind of strange... But everything else was just fine.

Dreamtime was great! The staff were so informative and took the time to help you. Rooms and beds were so bright and clean. The showers and bathrooms were always clean no matter what time of day. People staying there were young travelers, everyone was very nice. However, if you are looking for a party atmosphere Dreamtime probably isn't for you- after 10pm its pretty quiet, which is definitely okay! I would highly recommend it!

Amazingly relaxed hostel and does exactly what it says 'Dreamtime' you most definitely will!!! Super friendly staff and a variety of entertainment on each night. So clean, easily the cleanest hostel I have stayed in. Thank you Dream team :)

My stay was in winter. It was quiet at night but has events in the evening (BBQs, etc). Internet costs comparable to other hostels nearby. Plenty of restrooms/showers and fridge space (but fridge is secured at night) My only real complaint was that check-in is closed 12-4 in the afternoon for lunch.
