It is valueable for money. But it would be nicer if blanket is changed to lighter color, making it looks cleaner.

Great value for money, and fantastic location - close to public transport links and right in the heart of little India. Friendly and helpful staff, who will help you make the best of your stay in Singapore, and it's a really good place to meet fellow travellers. Will definitely stay here again, couldn't ask for anything more from a hostel!

Hi! Thank you for your comments. We will keep a more vigilant lookout for our cleaner's work. They come in everyday for 8 hours. Please let us know if you think that the toilets and floor is dirty in the future (if you come back) and we will ask our cleaner to clean your rooms again.

Hi! Thank you for your comments. Sometimes the power and lights went out because of guests using a different adapter (often of their own country's) into the Singapore's power socket. However, we usually ractify the situation very quickly. In addition, you stayed in the female dormitory which was full on the nights that you are staying. We are sorry that we cannot control the guests who stay in the room. However, in the event that it happens again in the future, you can always approach our friendly staff and we will go and investigate the situation and ractify it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Pay Little and get the Basics if you are looking for a real budget hostel stripped to the bone. This is your place. Drop Inn is a bit far from the action and situated near Boon Keng MRT. Staff is very helpful and willing to help. I stayed in the Superior Twin Private, might be superior vs. the dorm although doesn’t feel superior. Set your expectations to an empty room with aircon and two beds and don’t even imagine it will be exceeded and you will be more than fine. I won't go there again.

Hi! Thank you for your comments. I agree with whatever you said. Get whatever you pay for and be satisfied with your choices. I just came back from Laos and Vietnam and paid the same price as you did in Singapore for a private room. Using an online computation, Vientiane (capital of Laos) is 69% cheaper than in Singapore for accommodation and Hanoi (where I went in Vietnam) is 71% cheaper than in Singapore for accommodation. Thus, the room which I got is much better than the one I offered here. However, if you are willing to pay the same standard (which I prorate it to S$197 for a room in Singapore), you can get it too! I do not know where you are comparing our accommodation with, but please note that it is very very different from the rest of the south east asian countries. We are in the top 10 most expensive city to live in!

When we arrived at Drop Inn in the afternoon, there was no one at the front desk. We rang the bell and waited for quite a while until someone came from another building (Drop Inn Too). Some warnings posted on the wall could use a better wording. I found some that say like "Do not open the door for strangers, or you'll be asked to leave without any refund" and "Please clean up after yourself. I'm not your slave!" The bedsheet was not so smooth, and the bathroom was a bit smelly.

Hi! Thank you for your comments. Our staff sometimes walk between the 2 hostels to check the cleanliness or to bring people to the room, or even to go to the toilet. However, may I enquire how long is your quite a while? Usually it takes no longer than 5-10 minutes. Pertaining to the sign about no opening the doors to strangers, please understand that we have to be strict about it. Some of our guests are a bit too friendly and will open the door to people outside the hostel, which compromises our security. Thus, we have to come out with a penalty. Pertaining to the sign about please cleaning up after yourself, it is taken from the movie (the boat that rocks) and is meant to be funny but to get the point across. However, I understand that some Asians cannot take jokes and apologise for that.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. However, there were a few areas of concern.there were signs on all the rooms asking to not lock the doors. This made us a little uncomfortable, anyone was able to come in and poke around your luggage. They did give you locks for the lockers in compensation though. There were only two toilets and showers for the whole complex, so there were a few lines in the morning to get your business done. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were stuffy.
