Staff is very helpful and polite Toilet flushing is a problem, should be explained how to operate. Breakfast is just drink+bread+jam: no cheeese, etc., just basic

this hostel might not be right in the city centre, but the staff is friendly, fresh linen (cleanliness plus) & you get a free continental breakfast (cereals, toast) in an old church. room has lockers (bring own padlock), a sink&room is quite spacious. many permanent hostel guest "live" here&head to work really early, but they can tell you which shower works (some probs with showers on the 1st floor!). luggage storage 1,25€ per day. beds were okay-so all in all, would stay here again.

The service and standard ok for a hostel close from the city centre, however something hot could be served for breakfast. In December lat year I stayed in a hostel in Dublin - a bit further from the centre than Dublin International Hostel - however warm, traditional Irish breakfast was served. Of course I understand that it would increase costs, but that hostel where I stayed last year cost also around 30 eur per night.

The staff were all incredibly cheerful, friendly and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and everywhere was very clean.

Please maintain a high standard of cleanliness especially your toilets, bathrooms and kitchens. What I saw on the night of 10 May 2013 was horrible. Thanks.

Not enough fridges for the number of people at the hostel, hardly any crockery or kitchen utensils, only 1 microwave and oven.

Facilities are quite old especially compared with YHA in west Australia. Some staff is not friendly enough and efficient.

Very good hostel - I'm very happy I stayed here. Very relaxed, quiet atmosphere and clean facilities. Only two small disappointments: wifi didn't work in bed rooms only in lobby; also breakfast was only toast and cold cereal. All in all very happy with stay

In some area the Wifi signal is extremely poor... And there is only one plug-in in the 10 beds room...

Nice place, nice staff, everything is clean and the breakfast is fantastic. Besides, is near downtown and the price is superlow. Recomended!

Was wary about staying in a hostel but so glad we stayed here. only a ten min walk from city centre and the staff are lovely! Nice rooms and felt so safe the whole time, great value for money, only thing I would change is thicker pillows for the bed!

This is a pretty good hostel. I do recommend it. One bad thing I shall mention is that around half of the lockers in the room I stayed in were broken -I don't know about the situation of rest of the rooms though. Therefore if you have any valuable equipments with you, your stay might turn out to be quite risky in terms of thievery. Other than that everything is above average and far from being unpleasent. And one last thing before finishing: They serve fine filtered coffee at free breafast.

Only thing that is not that good about that hostel is the location. Depending where you want to go it takes about 20min to the centre (e.g. Temple Bar). But there's a bus stop nearly around the corner, where busses from the airport stop. (5min walk). Breakfast is very basic but free. Lockers in rooms, however bring a big lock. Mine was too small and didn't work.

i think it could be more friendly, it looks like a jail when we are dinning or having a meal

The reviews for this hostel made it seem like this was a great place to stay and it was all right for the price I paid. However I was not expecting there to be so many people over the age of 40 staying at our hostel, I was confused because I thought this was a youth hostel and I rarely saw anyone my age. The staff was very unhelpful whenever we asked for recommendations or advice about Dublin. Also the staff would clean all the bathrooms on the floor at the same time which was annoying.

Driving directions to get here are AWFUL - we got SO LOST - then when we called to ask for help, all they did was tell us the address - without a GPS the address did NOT help. Took us an 1 1/2 hours to find it - Im sure if we weren't driving it would have been easier. But it was very frustrating. The hostel itself is a big hostel - so all the little things you expect from a big hostel in a big city - noisy outside the street. Comfortable enough, clean enough. Would stay again if in Dublin though

Free parking was great. There was a sink in the room even though it wasn't en-suite. Lots of different places to be so it was easy to find a quiet corner. O'Connell St (city centre) is a 5-10 minute walk or only 65cent on the bus. Very close to Mater Hospital.
