Had a lovely stay at Dubrovnik Packpackers. The family who runs the hostel is so friendly! The breakfast one can buy for 20 KN is well worth the money as well. The hostel is about 40 min walk from the old town but that's not a problem as the bus line runs frequently. Hostel has a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely one of the best and friendliest hostels I've ever stayed at!

This was a home, it was the best of my time in Croatia. Missing the Eggy Bread for breakfast!

Its by far the best place I´ve ever stayed. The family adopts you as part of their own family, take care of you, and Mom prepares the BEST breakfast you will ever taste. Dad picks you up a nice smile on his face and even l before he takes u to the hostel if you want to stop by at somewhere to buy something you may need, or go to the bank. Very thoughfull! Younger son gives you all smart info about Dubrovnik and older son will set the BEST tours ever that no agency will EVER offer! Thank u all!!

A set of Apartments converted to a hostel. Has most of what you need .Not in the old town which can be a good thing if you want to some peace. Lovely view and a good breakfast. Warm people. All in all quite good.

I got food sick one of the days I was in Dubrovnik (in a way completely unrelated to the hostel) and when the owners heard, they gave me a shot of pomegranate brandy to settle my stomach (which worked) and medicine, as well as lots of love. This hostel is wonderful.

The whole DBC family was super friendly and very helpful! free pick up from the bus station was a life saver! the breakfast was cheap, and delicious. Location was decent, easy to catch a bus to old town, and very close to promenade with lots of restaurants and bars. rooms were pretty clean, plenty of hot water. the communal kitchen was a bit dirty...but i would attribute that more to other guests. i would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to all!

Thank you so much for your kind and friendly help in the hostel! I felt like I was one of your family members when I was staying there. :) The easter food was great and all the recommendation from the hostel was worth doing.

Friendly staff, GREAT breakfast... Takes 5-10min by bus or 30min walking to the old city. worth staying in this hostel instead of old city.

it’s a good place to stay to avoid the crowds in this city. DBC team members are really welcoming and helpful! love the free pick-up, too! but the toilet and kitchen were “misused” by other guests – so self-discipline please!

One of the best hostels I've been to - great common area, one of the friendliest staff groups, some of the best help and tours I've ever had. These guys really do make it their lives to ensure your stay is as good as it can be. And whatever you do, DO NOT miss Milka's breakfasts... A real highlight of my stay in Croatia. Great place to stay if you want to chill and be on your own, even better if you want to meet people and have a great time.

Great stay. A little bit difficult to find at first (that part is a maze), but hospitable staff more than compensates for that.

Thanks for the warm and wonderful Croatian hospitality! It feels more like a homestay than being in a hostel. Would recommend.

DBC was great! It's a truely family-rum business and all the staff/family is really warm and inviting. Every day I came back they invited me in for tea and Croatian food. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to my friends.

If you're looking for a place to meet new people, have a good time, or just relax in Dubrovnik, then Dubrovnik Backpacker's Club is an excellent place to stay. Its a family run hostel, and everyone is very welcoming. The breakfast in the morning is amazing (its not free, but still cheap) and I highly recommend going on one of the tours! It is a bit far from the old city, but its close to beaches and the bus (10 mins to town), the facilities are good and clean and they make everyone feel at home.

Very friendly and warm family run hostel. Only real downside is that it's a bit far from the old town, about a 45 minute walk or 15 minute bus journey, however the beaches are a close walk. I was sad I visited in the off season and wasn't able to take advantage of the amazing day trips they offer in the summer!

I was there in February, off season so it was quiet and I can't evaluate the character/fun. But it is clean, has a kitchen, WiFi, multiple bathrooms, and the best part: The family that runs this hostels is absolutely lovely - with their kids grown, the parents still want to have young people around and thus opened a hostel. It is a bit far from the walled city - walking will take at least half an hour, but there is a regular bus so just figure a couple euros extra a day into the price.
