The reception had not heard about the booking when we arrived, and they did not speak English. A man on the phone got our booking number and we were given a room. We paid 18 USD, but a couple who had just arrived with no booking got a better room with balcony down the street for 6 USD. No internet. When checking out they did not know we had paid the 10% deposit at hostelworld and wanted the whole amount. When I showed the confirmation email from hostelworld with the correct amount it was ok.

PROS: price was reasonable and rooms were clean enough CONS: absolutely no english speaking in reception, and the owner Mr Tuan Anh claims to speak English, but does not. I hired a scooter and rode it for a day - three days after leaving the hostel I got an angry email from Mr Tuan Anh accusing me of crashing his bike, "You are a very bad, you made the my motorbike fell down, and broken my light". Huh? No one in reception takes charge and the management in general is quite bad.

Room was nice & view fantastic. Hotel seemed family run but they seemed to spend a lot of time sleeping.We twice left our room, walked down 2 floors past people sleeping in the computer/dining room & in the reception/restaurant area, no one noticing us passing. Seems like anyone could have walked in and got access to guest areas. Also the Manager, the only English speaker, was not engaging & not there during the day so we could not organise anything through them. Dealt with My Ngoc 2 doors away
