This is one of my favorite hostels. Great showers, dorms, bathrooms, etc. Some rooms have lockers, but others don't. Very nice all around. Great kitchen and all around feel to the whole building. Some of the guests I've met have been a lot of fun. Kitchen can be a bit untidy at times but staff do clean everything pretty well. I would rather stay here than a hotel. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Dundee. This is one of my favorite hostels. Great showers, dorms, bathrooms, etc. Some rooms have lockers, but others don't. Very nice all around. A nice building in a great location but not as clean as it should be. Kitchen was very dirty to the extent that we chose not to use it.Also very short of basic equipment such as mugs.We stayed here last year and the standard at that time was much higher. Cleanliness needs to be given a high priority and quickly.A nice building in a great location but not as clean as it should be. This hostel is a really good budget stay in Dundee, however, it would not be a wise idea to stay more than 2-3 nights as Dundee does not have much to look around for that long and the rooms are not particularly clean and secure but it does do a three stars nicelyThis hostel is a really good budget stay in Dundee, however, it would not be a wise idea to stay more than 2-3 nights as Dundee does not have much to look around for that long and the rooms are not particularly clean and secure but it does do a three stars nicely...Close

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. I loved my Bagpipe Maker's room. Fantastic bathroom and bed in the corner was wonderful and cosy. I loved exploring all the buildings and reading the information about the history and restoration. I enjoyed the pictures and photos and 'objets trouvees' in the room and Reading room. Great choice of rooms - Reading, TV, Dining as well as the space for games and activities. Extraordinary! Made my first vist to Dundee very special. Recommend to anyone! It is in an AMAZING location, couldn't ask for better. the rooms are new and feel fresh. We had an ensuite , was quite a large bathroom, and newly refurbished. Couldn't have asked for more.
Staff really helpful. but location is just perfect, really close to everything. It is in an AMAZING location, couldn't ask for better. the rooms are new and feel fresh. We had an ensuite , was quite a large bathroom, and newly refurbished. Couldn't have asked for more.

It\'s really a nice hostel. I was there in late October 2009. It\'s been totally renovated from the ground up in an old 200+ year old building. The spiral stair-cases are all original and are slippy. The bathrooms are great and the showers are fantastic. The kitchen is very nice too. You can\'t go wrong. with this hostel. It\'s directly on the high street with a min. walking distance to Tesco\'s, the Overgate shooping mall and the Wellgate. Good staff too!It\'s really a nice hostel. I was there in late October 2009.
