Customer service was superb, they even provide City map guides and brief us about where to go! Very happy with the stay

The hostel seemed dirty and cramped. The common spaces were uncomfortable to spend time in. There was no space in which we felt "at home" in the hostel. The staff seemed unprofessional.

Liked the free BBQ (every sunday the manager organizes the BBQ) and the cleanliness.

Staying at DUO made my time in DC a wonderful and exciting experience. I was extremely welcome and made a ton of friends. Everyone there is so open and kind it was undescribable. Thank you!

The hostel really was a wonderful to stay, and the manager was a great cook! I would stay there again if I were in DC in the future.

too strict, no breakfast even though it was written on hostel.com, long check-in, staff not friendly, open the door and wake me up all night, room too much heated, wifi did not work

Nice hostel with kind of a familiar atmosphere. The staff is friendly and tries to answer every question. A big plus was also the free barbecue that the manager prepared on sunday evening. Thanks man! Everything is very clean, but the rooms are small and stuffy. Unfortunately, the prices went up to more than 40 bucks a night during spring break. That is too much for a bed in a room with 12 other beds...

I enjoyed staying here very much. The hostel is very considerate that it has a water filler, and a closet for us to hang our jackets. the people are very helpful. the bathroom is very clean too. nice and interesting people there. I will definitely come back if I go to D.C. again.

My friend and I really enjoyed the stay at Duo! The staff was super friendly and the location is in walking distance to all the main sites in Washington DC as well as for nightlife. We had a great time, thanks Duo!

We were a 15 minute walk from the National Mall and it was a nice walk, no shady parts of town. The hostel is in a nice neighborhood, I felt safe. The staff was great, Mark really helped out my boyfriend and I look for cheap parking in DC. Super clean place too!

Fantastic! Nice environment, staff ready to provide you information and help you with anything you need. I have no complaints about the hostel, everything was perfect!

Too much patrol.

The staff is really what makes the difference at Duo. Everyone is especially nice and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. The place is also exceptionally clean and well kept. I've stayed in hostels from all over and Duo is in a league of its own in terms of its cleanliness. There were guests from all over the world during my stay and there were many nights where we all sat around the upstairs lounging area sharing stories and having a great time. Staying at Duo was awesome.

The hostel is OK but that's about it. Apart from a few of them, the staff members are not very welcoming and/or friendly. The location is not that great in DC. You're not guaranted to have hot water in the shower...And the common areas are way too small, there is no real place where a bunch (more than 4) of people can chill together. Good points : free towels, it's rather clean. All in all, no atmosphere at all.

I've never stayed in a hostel in the USA and I think that Duo ruined me for all other hostels. Love it !

Great all around. I like the no shoe policy. Wifi is great. The showers could use towel rods near the showers. Ill definitely be back and Ill recommend it.

Value is rated on the cost I paid for the weekend, which was raised to accommodate demand due to the political rally that weekend. In general the place was very clean and open. I was impressed by the use of bases for the bunk beds and the quality of the water heaters.
