The staff is very engaging and friendly. The complimentary dinner on Sunday was very much appreciated also. I like DUO housing very much and thank all of the staff for everything. They all do a great job. Special thanks to Marvin. He is a great communicator and knows how to make a traveler feel relaxed and welcome to the fullest. Everyone was the best. Thanks again. The hostel has a no-shoes policy and you have to leave them at the door. I got athletes because of this. Disgusting.

An amazing hostel. Have stayed at more than seventy hostels in my travels and this one is right up there. Obviously a hostel experience depends upon the other travellers who happen to be there at the same time, but Duo makes it easy to meet and hang out with everyone with all the common rooms and the pancake breakfasts and when everyone goes out at night together. Sunday free dinner is great. Rooms are standard dorms, decent wifi, comfy beds, plenty of power sockets. 100% would recommend.

This was one of the better hostels I have stayed at. Great location, very homely and the staff were fantastic. Wish inbound have stayed longer

This place is becoming more and more preoccupied with rules. Rules, rules, rules. It drives me crazy. A few of the staff members are really nice but management is awful. They're always watching the cameras and waiting to bust you for eating on an unauthorized couch or dozing off in a common area. Hostels are supposed to be fun. Not patronizing.

This was absolute first time ever staying at a hostel, and I'd have to say it was a great experience. It felt like home!-

It was a real pleasure to stay at the Duo Housing DC as the atmosphere was amazing, people were respectful and the staff always friendly and helpy. This hostel is honestly the cleanest I have been to, mostly because we have to take the shoes of before getting in I guess. It would be great if we could find a Duo Housing in every city in the US and elsewhere!

The hostel was super clean. But while every guest was required to keep shoes off, some staff walked around with boots on. Shower was cold and heating was off. It would be also nice to provide some milk for breakfast

Duohas to be one of the stricter Hostels I've stayed in, the limited shower facilities were a slight concern, but overall it was a pleasant place to stay. It's close to the Yellow/Green Lines into Washington DC which made travelling to the capital very easy. The staff were certainly the best part of this hostel as they were easy to talk to, thought the lounge and computer room were also very comfortable.

If im going toDC again im definitely staying there. Worth every penny you pay. Where can I start from the welcoming staff to the chocolate chips pancakes to the amazing Sunday night dinner. The place is clean and very comfy. Only thing I would like to add is if you guys have a laundry machine at the hostel that would ve perfect. Special thanks for the amazing thanksgiving meal. Felt as I'm home.

Leaving your luggage on your check out day longer than 3pm will cost you the amount of one night. Unfortunately, leaving it in the lockroom at union st will cost you 30$ as well. My tip if you want to leave your luggage somewhere longer and FOR FREE: Bring it to the cloakroom in the library of congress. It is for free and you can leave it there until 5 pm :-)
