Duo Housing Los Angeles is set in a residential house which our users say feels more like a home than a hostel. This 'safe and clean' hostel has friendly and helpful staff who are 'always keen to give suggestions for things to do and how to get there', our visitors tell us. A city bus stops nearby, giving travellers relatively easy access to Hollywood, downtown and beaches. This is also a good place to stay if you're travelling by car, a handy option in the sprawl of Los Angeles.

Interning or moving to Hollywood/Los Angeles? Convenient to public transportation, this is the perfect housing alternative for international students and interns in any of the cities we service.

We offer communal living and lots of interaction. Duo Housing is designed to encourage interaction among our guests as much as possible. Our rooms are shared, as are the bathroom facilities, kitchens, and living rooms.

Room rates include free bed linens and towels and free daily maid service. Bring a lock because we also have free lockable lockers!

The living room (or social room) has a huge 42' flat-screen TV, all the premium cable TV channels, a DVD player and a phone to call anywhere in the continental US.

Our friendly staff are on duty 24 hours a day to help you with anything you might need, whether it's directions or restaurant suggestions. This means check-in is available 24/7, there's no lockout and there's always security on the property!

We also have free Wi-Fi and Internet with free computers, free use of our Nintendo Wii, a separate quiet study area and tons of free house events.

Our kitchen has free utensils and free coffee and tea.

And of course...free meeting new friends! :) The big city is intimidating to new guests, but you can plan on making some great new friends here. Many of our guests end up becoming friends and getting apartments together!

What makes us different? The biggest difference is our hostels were started by people just like you and run by people with needs just like yours! So instead of coming home from school or your internship to an impersonal warehouse of beds, you feel like you are coming home - you're staying with people who fast become your friends; you cook with people from all over the world, you get to learn and experience the city first-hand with friends!

    I think what puts us ahead of the rest is our cleanliness and our exemplary guest services. It seems that what Hostelworld guests most like about our hostel is our location. The world-famous Santa Monica beach is about a 30-minute bus ride from here, while the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theatre (where many movie premieres happen) are only 15 minutes away. I really recommend that when guests are here they check out the culture of 'Old Hollywood' in the West Hollywood area, as well as the small beaches that run south of Santa Monica.
    Our hostel seems to be best suited for 21-to-35-year-old travellers who are in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area to sightsee, visit the many massive beaches and to experience the Entertainment Capital of the United States!

Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.

Things to Note

You must pay with a credit card. We do NOT have the facility to take any cash what so ever. You will not be able to check in unless you are paying with a credit card. Visa, American Express, Discover, and Master Card. If you have a debit card, it must have been issued by Visa. To Note: No Laser cards are accepted. All members of a reservation must present a valid drivers license or passport to checkin. All reservations are charged 48 hours in advance of your arrival. If your credit card information changes please contact us immediately. Any reservations with declined / expired credit cards are subject to termination. No one under the age of 18 allowed. All guests in a party must be over the age of 18. You must give us 48 hours notice of a planned cancellation. If no notice is given the first day of your reservation will be charged. Any reservation of 4 guests or more will be charged 7 days in advance for the entirety of their reservation. We do not accept or acknowledge any 'group' reservation, nor do we offer any special pricing, discounts, or services for 'groups'. There is a limit for reservations of 7 days in any given calendar year. If you are a resident of Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland, you are restricted to a total of 3 days in any 30 day period at Duo Housing DC. All California residents are limited to a 3 night stay in any 30 day period. Additionally, as this is an international travelers house, no Los Angeles metro residents are admitted. CANCELLATION CONDITIONS: If you make a reservation that has a check-in date of LESS THAN 48 HOURS away, your credit card must be valid. If your credit card is declined upon processing ( which happens within hours of your reservation being made, your reservation will be canceled immediately. CHECK-IN CONDITIONS: By checking in the guest acknowledges all statements herein. By checking in the guest understands that this is NOT A LEASE and their stay at Duo Housing is TEMPORARY ONLY. This is not accommodations for long term. As such, the guest understands and agrees that they have no legal tenant rights as prescribed by law; rather they are held to the short term housing and hoteliers law and statutes. By checking in the guest agrees to abide by all rules set forth herein as well as follow the legal direction of Duo Housing staff, employees, managers, and its agents. Should a guest fail to comply with any of the herein agreed to terms and conditions, Duo Housing reserves the right to charge the guest $25 per infraction and / or request that the guest vacate the property immediately. You may enter the house at 3pm, but you may leave your luggage with us prior to that, but may not spend time in the property until 11am. Your bed will be ready by 3pm on the day of your checkin CHECKOUT CONDITIONS: On the day of your check out: We request that you vacate the property by 11am. This means all of your belongings must be out of the room and you must leave the property by 11am. You may leave your luggage with us until 3pm on the day of your departure, but if your luggage stays past 3pm you will be charged the currently posted daily rate as a luggage storage fee. YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO LEAVE YOUR LUGGAGE IN OUR SECURE CLOSET AREA WHILE YOU SPEND THE REST OF THE DAY IN THE CITY, BUT IF YOU ARE CHECKING OUT TODAY, YOU MUST BE OUT OF THE BED BY 11 AM SO WE CAN CHANGE IT FOR THE NEXT GUEST. All common areas are secured with CCTV digital recording cameras. By checking in to the property you acknowledge that recording is in progress. While every attempt is made to provide a safe and secure housing solution, Duo Housing Inc, its management, staff, and associates take no responsibility for any personal belongings; the guest is responsible for the security of all their personal belongings. Guest understands that Duo Housing, its staff and management are not responsible in any way for any injuries caused while guest is on the property. Guest assumes all risk and any subsequent responsibility to their well being while at Duo Housing. Furthermore, by agreeing to the Terms & Conditions Guest agrees to waive all perceived or actual responsibility against Duo Housing, its staff, and management for any injuries occurred while at Duo Housing.
