The staff there are excellent. But the facilities, especially the bedding/mattress/pillow have much room for improvements.

I think that there needs to be at least one female employed there but overall I had a great stay and met great people.

Good apart from the toilets didn't like having people coming in and out of the room all the time for the toilet. Don't expect to much privacy in a room but don't expect to wake up to a queue of people waiting for the toilet and shower in the mornings. Also the kitchen needs another cooker. Staff were helpful and always easy to find if you needed help.

I stayed at Duo for a whole week and I really enjoyed it. No doubts. It is not an usual hostel its more like a house. Thats why it is called Duo "housing". Different to a hostel. I felt like being home. :-) Just one negative aspect: some rooms are pretty small. You don t have enough space to chill out in your own room but therefore you have two big living rooms. I just like hanging out in my own room but that was not a big deal. I´ve survived. :-) Cheers to the staff. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!

Really great. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and are cleaned every day. The only problem was lack of bathrooms, although I never had to wait for a shower. Location is great, a simple bus ride from Downtown LA or Hollywood. After 10pm everyone had to be quiet which allowed people to sleep. There's a big television room with ample seating, a free computer, free wifi and free washing as long as you have your own detergent. Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in.

The best staff, very friendly talkative and helpful thanks AZ Alex and Dan for a great stay. Good location on Crenshaw Blv, with easy access by bus to everywhere important. Well stocked kitchen and good common areas. Only negatives would be that it is a little bit crowded (I would suggest paying more for a 6bed dorm if you like a bit of space). The bathrooms were always busy and there was limited hot water (luck the weather is warm). I would stay again.

I thought that the whole staff were excellent and extremely helpful as they were able to help anyone, not only myself with any questions regarding Los Angeles. The whole staff were knowledgeable of the city as I could ask them a question how to get to a particular place and they were able to tell me the correct bus to take and where to eat that was close and good. Also they were very entertaining and had plenty to talk about and were very easy going

Duo Housing is ok. There are cleaner and more accommodating hostels out there. The beds are not comfortable, the shared refrigerators are overstuffed and no towels/soap/linens are provided. The bathrooms/common areas are acceptable. The staff is nice but don\'t seem to care too much about keeping the place organized. For the same price I\'ve been to nicer hostels in more expensive cities (Tokyo and Honolulu). The location is about the best Duo Housing has to offer.

Bathrooms were not so clean and mattresses on beds were very old. Thin walls and very good audibility. However the staff is very friendly, helpful and cheerful, 2 kitchens allow to take place to a large number of the people, the Internet fast and a patio on the street me subdued!

this hostel do not have stable hot water for showering, this point is totally unacceptable for a hostel and i think it is a very basic facility, so i found disappointed when i arrived. also, the hostel is crowded, they do not have enough space, it is difficult to put my suitcase in the room. if you go to toilet, you have to walk through other's bedroom, it is disturbing and inconvenient.

It is to expensive for what you get! It is a normal Hostel without any free Breakfast, just free Coffee. There are a lot of guys hanging around, watching TV or playing video games. It is ok!! But not like you expect when you pay 27Dollar.

There was one small bathroom were the shower was really dirty. The bigger one was quite okay but you have to pass another sleeping room which is maybe annoying for the people who sleep there. Staff was very friendly!!

It's amazing, just like living at someone's house with all your mates. The staff are like friends and are extremely helpful. Close to everything you will want to see in LA. Can't say enough good stuff about it, whenever I'm in LA from now on this will be my home as thats exactley what it was.
