Pretty awesome place. Staff are extremely nice. Most beds are comfortable. Place is pretty clean. Has everything you need. Could do with some better curtains. That's it! Great place I will go again.

Although the Staff where as helpful as they could be I would not stay at Duo housing again. There is just not enough being offered for the price in comparison to other hostels like USA Hollywood Hostel on Shrader Street. No Laundry, no bar, no night time activities, no tours ,no meals on offer. All this would be acceptable if the location was happening in some way. The closest shop is a 20 minute walk each way so at least some water and items could be for sale. perhaps a food and drink machine?

Location can't be beat, especially if you're here to see LA as a whole, and not just Hollywood. It's near some express bus stops to take you to the downtown, to the beach, or to the airport. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is much appreciated! How you think about security determines whether it's "poor" or "excellent." If you value locks on all doors, it's not great. If you value reliable people keeping an eye on things 24/7, it's excellent. I'm in the middle, so I give it "average.

No locks on any doors in the property - they say there are cameras everywhere but I still think locks are essential. Especially in LA!

I admit that I'm a little spoiled in terms of housing, but for the price paid and what I got, this was amazing!

I just stayed for a night, but i had an awesome time there! The staff is very kind, helpful and fun. Its a smaller hostel and its easy to meet people to hang out. The area is not that central but ok.

I had an excellent stay at Duo Housing! It was one of the best hostels I've been to! Even if I stayed only for a couple of nights, I met fantastic people and the atmosphere was amazing. The only thing that was not so good was the poor quality of the beds, but I was unlucky because they are currently buying new ones and I had an old one... Will definitely come back next time I'm in LA!

Hard to find an awesome location in LA but the hostel is well connected and close to bus stops and other amenities. Great environment for travellers and staff always willing to help with a 24 hours reception being available. This is your place if your on a budget and still want to have a great time.

Staff were super-friendly. The hostel was ideal for what we needed. I thought the bathroom setup would be a bit of an issue but it wasn't a problem and seemed to work well. The free BBQ on Sunday night was really great - much more and tastier than I was expecting!

You have a wonderful staff. It seems like they are really dedicated to their work and the people that come to your facility. I would keep them as long as possible.

Felt very welcome the moment I walked through the door!! As I could only stay one night due to travelling through I didn't get to interact with the other guess! The only thing I could suggest which was a let down for me was the bedding quality and the Brocken blinds that wouldn't stop any mourning sunlight coming through!! All in all a little bit more maintenance and it would be great!!

The best thing about this hostel is the friendly and VERY helpful stuff working there! No maps available! The area is ok, didn´t seem too dangerous, but I also didn´t go out after sunset. The beds were old and the sheets not really clean, so I was happy to have my sleeping bag with me! The bathroom situation in the morning is definitively a problem, as the hot water for the showers running out too fast as well! It wasn´t really a clean hostel. I liked the 2nd quiet kitchen! : )

Must be the best hostel in LA! Cheap, clean, pancakes for breakfast, good atmosphere, great service. The staff was truly amazing, they help out with everything, with whatever information you need or if you're in any kind of trouble. I also liked that there are two kitchen/common rooms, where one is more quiet (so you can choose). The area is safe and buses run close by.

Cool hostel with a nice vibe. Should mention the bathrooms though, they're ok but do need a little improvement. Apart from that it's a great place
