the location was excellent but i felt that the facilities could have been better. for instance, there could have been sink in the bathroom so that once toilet is used you can wash your hands afterwards. it would have been nice if there was was a trash can in the shower or a hook to hang towel.. i felt inconvenient above all. the bar was nice to hangout after a long day of sight seeing.

This is a great location for exploring central Amsterdam -- right on the edge of the Red Light District, surrounded by shops and eateries, steps to Dam Square.

We had an incredible time in Amsterdam! Durty Nellys was a great location and the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. They said we were one of their best behaved Stag Parties which may have helped, but they really looked after us well! Would certainly recommend staying there if you are going for a party and a good time, saying that the rooms are very quiet despite being above the bar! Thanks for all your hospitality guys! We will miss you! Love Nick and the Wolfpack! X

Very nice hostel.

Certainly one of the best hostels i have stayed. No wonder its full most of the time. The location was just perfect. Just 5 minutes walk from central station.If you are looking for a fun stay in Amsterdam, then this it it. Don't look further.Very clean rooms and bathroom.The best thing about this hostel is its awesome staffs and security. All the major attractions are in walking distance as well.

We were a group of 20 people staying at Durty Nelly\'s, the beginning of May 2012. The booking and communication with the hostel prior to our stay was excellent, and Durty Nelly\'s really did their job in accomodating our needs. The bar is was a good place for us to end an evening out, in addtion to meeting up for breakfast in the morning. If your plan is to enjoy Amsterdam\'s night life this is a great place to stay (I can only speek for groups, not couples). If you want a quiet weekend, maybe not

Two great things: location and staff (esp Ola). But the actual place is not a comfortable place to relax, the common room is the pub and the rooms are very tight and basic. While there was nothing dirty per se, it just didnt feel clean or comfortable. A place to go if you won't spend any time indoors or sleeping (day or night)

It's a nice place in a very central location and close to the train station as well. Decent breakfast, friendly staff.

Durty Nellys is a great place to stay. Perfect location. Will hopefully be booking again later this year :)

Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in, very clean and great value for your money. The staff were an absolute pleasure to be around, I will definitely be coming back soon and Durty Nelly's will be my first port of call when I do return. Great deals on food and drinks for hostel guest which is a major plus as Amsterdam can be quite expensive at times.

The hostel was very well located, with several coffee shops in the same street. The bar was very good with food and beverage with discount for guests. Staff very helpful, always asking about your day and giving useful tips. One of the managers was Brazilian wich was very good to me. Locker in the rooms, cleaning every day, only negative point was the bathroom, very small and the shower on and off sometimes. i would stay there again without thinking twice.

Very nice hostel. Very good location directly in the Red light district. Clean rooms and beds/sheets. Lockers in the room to lock in your luggage. Free towels (5€ deposit needed) and other things to borrow (hair dryer, electricity adapters). Very nice staff, which will help you with all questions (i.e. sightseeing advice, tours). Nice bar with reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Very recommendable!

Perhaps the best hostel i´ve ever stayed in Amsterdam. Great inclusive breakfast!

The wifi Internet never worked in the dorms, and rarely worked downstairs
