Location is excellent as it is right next to the subway. Near eateries and within a shopping building itself. Excellent view as it is on the 15th floor. Facilities are sufficient though average in quality. Wifi available in room if you are not staying in the main dormitory.

No toilet paper available which is a surprise since another hostel we stayed in Tailei provided nearly everything. It seems only the bed sheets will be changed after we checked out. So we are worried whether the pillows and the quilts are never changed and washed... But the view is awesome. The location is extremely convinient! No worry to carry your luggage to the room on your own because elevator is available.

This is the second time I get to review this hostel and I hope my approach is legitimate: I somewhat misjudged my first review and my 60% score didn't do the hostel justice. So rating it 100% ends up in the middle this time. Definitely the two best things about the hostel are staff (helpful and very friendly) and location.

the location was so convenient. kenzo and his staff were very helpful and friendly. the "living room" was small but comfortable, a good central place where i met some friendly guests. the post it notes served as reminders and added a bit of charm to the place. the ensuite rooms were just about right and the beds were quite comfortable. no tv though, but wifi was conveniently available.

Certainly not the first choice when it comes to comfort, but you cannot beat location and the staff is very helpful! We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and if you can put up with the run-down looks of the rooms (that is, our room), it's a nice place to stay. Although I didn't rate the categories high, I'd recommend a stay!

Very nice and knowledgeable staff who helped me with my other travel plans in Taiwan. They were happy to accommodate my extremely delayed flight, which caused me to arrive at 3 am. Extremely convenient location. No complaints!

we booked a private ensuite room around 1.5 months in advance, however, upon arrival, the staff told us the booking is mixed up. so we are forced to stay in a room with shared bathroom, and the "cost adjustment" is only TWD100(i.e. USD3.5)! The shared bathroom is dirty; and the room itself is facing the common area where people keep chatting and watching tv just right outside your door, one would definately can't sleep tight with all these noisy going on.

I had a reservation before leaving by the cellphone. Owner canceled and didn't explain anything.

The location was great, very close to bus station, which allows us to catch bus to airport very conveniently. Room was okay, but two of the electrical outlets weren't working. Security is good considering that after 12midnight, lifts can only be used by someone who has a lift card. Overall, our stay there was just an okay experience.

Kenzo is the key ingredient here. He speaks multiple languages, really friendly, and has handy travel tips. The rooms are your average hostel room - although our hot water system wasn't working very well and there was no heating in the room. No luggage lockers available but there were security lockers for small important stuff. The common area was quite nice with tea and coffee easily available. Free wi-fi was high standard too. Good atmosphere. Very close to Taipei Bus, MRT & HSR stations.

I booked a four-bed room for two people because we wanted a private batheroom. However, it stinked. And the water heater wasn't powerful enough to give me a hot shower. The weather was pretty nice when I was visiting Taipei so I didn't use the air-conditioner. But I doubt whether it could work at all. But the hotel overall was quite nice and the location is definitely excellent. The most amazing thing is that I could hear melody every morning in the common area, which made me feel at home.

We had a great time. It was really easy to find, super convenient location. Kenzo, the owner, was readily available, friendly, and savvy about Taiwan travel. There was an atmosphere of trust, and little extras like tea/coffee in the kitchenette. Hot hot shower, clean sheets, comfy beds, quiet for sleeping - perfect after a big day on your feet. Best tip: check out the streets behind for the best ever coffee - fresh roasted and ground on site, & guy making riceballs nearby. Sooo good! Thumbs up

The room has bad smell. The bathroom is very dirty. There are mosquito at night. Air-con is out of order. Staff is not nice. He ask me to go the other floor by myself. Actually, he just asked me to pay money and give me a room key. No other service at all! Although the location is good, never stay there again!!

The location makes a good place for short stay especially when Taipei is a transit point.

This was a very excellent place to stay! I've stayed in many hostels around the world and this is one of my favorites! The location absolutely can't be beat, the staff is friendly and helpful, its a safe, comfortable place for a female traveling alone, and I met lots of really nice fellow travelers. All around it was a great experience and I will definitely stay here again if I visit Taipei. Many thanks!

This place is just next to the Taipei Main Railway Station, so the location is perfect if you are planning to move around the Island or if you arrive late from airport (and take the bus 1819), the room was really clean as well as the toilet, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I suggest my peers to stay here
