East Side Hostel Reviews

The first night we were there, people forced the door in our apartment open and the couple staying with us got robbed. They lost all of their valuables. The staff was nice but were not very helpful. We tried to call the main hostel location several times and were hung up on. It might have been a language problem. On the other hand, the location was very nice and the apartment we were moved to after the break in was much nicer and more appealing.

Superb! Excellent stay! When I arrived they offered me to stay in a different apartment, and I am glad that I agreed. The location of the flat was great, in the heart of the city in walking distance of many tourist attraction, fine restaurants and transportation. The kitchen was big, the room was brightly and very clean. I even had my own bathroom with a huge bathtub. Staff were very friendly and helpful, had attention for details. I am very pleased and satisfied, thanks. Recommended to anyone!

Da das Hostel überbucht war, wurden wir in einer Einzimmerwohnung +/-1km vom Hostel entfernt untergebracht. Das Hostel hat auch das Taxi für die Fahrt dahin bezahlt. Die Wohnung hatte alles, eingerichtete Küche, Badezimmer, Wohn- & Schlafzimmer inkl. Waschmaschine und Kühlschrank so wie ein unverschlüsseltes WLAN. Alles war geputzt jedoch nicht sonderlich sauber. Bettwäsche war frisch gewaschen aus dem Hostel. Die Wohnung war im Erdgeschoss einer ruhigen Nebenstrasse und nicht besonders sicher.

not really a hostel, a house with a kitchen an initial room, two bedrooms to share with more people and a bathroom. The best thing is the price and location and worst of the environment as there is no any kind of fun, the staff is very talkative, do not give information of the city unless you asked the staff themselves and pass the whole day there even sleeps on the couch in the night.Not is very clean. I would not recommend!

The hostel offered a good place to sleep and was at a convenient location. There are some downsides though. For instance, Internet was only available via a shared netbook (not WiFi) and people smoked inside the hostel. Also the guy running the place was there 24/7, watching TV, which was not conductive to a fun atmosphere (though I wouldn't fault him personally). As you might have read elsewhere this hostel overbooks and so it might happen that they relocate you to another place. But it's cheap!

The room we booked was full, so they gave us a complete appartment elsewhere in the city instead. The ride to the appartment was paid for by the hostel so the initial dissapointment was soon gone. The appartment was very large, we had our own kitchen, bathroom (with bathtub) and three seperate bedrooms (for six people). The place was not the cleanest though. Staff was friendly and the location of the appartment was excellent.

The hostel has a great location. Toilet and bathroom are very clean. The hostel isn't much fun. The guy who was there wasn't very talkative. The bed wasn't very comfy. Overall it is an okay place to stay, especially for the price.
