The best hostel I've stayed at! The place really feels like home due to the spacious lounge, large and comfortable kitchen, community dinner nights and bedroom set-up. It is right next to the underground transportation line, and is in a hip neighborhood. I highly recommend it!!

The staff was very kind and helped us out with tips about the city. All of the facilities were very clean and well kept. Definitely the most expensive hostel I have ever stayed in, but it was also easily the nicest as well. No more than 3 minutes walk to U2 (metro). Highly recommended!

This was possibly the best hostel i've ever stayed at. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, towels provided, kitchen avaialble, everyone was there to make friends and have a good time. Although its not right in the middle of berlin, the location is still great as it is close to some really great bars and restaurants. The hostel was definetely open to suggestions/complaints ( even though i had none) which made it comforting to know if anyone was wrong it would be fixed straight away.

Such a great hostel! It's cleanliness, friendliness, and atmosphere have ruined all other hostels for me! Free walking tours, free dinners, and a lively common area offer the lonely traveler several chances to meet and hangout with fellow travelers. Staff was always incredibly friendly and easy going, and this hostel was cleaner than some hotels i've stayed at.

Awesome place to stay in Berlin. A bit mellow so if you're looking for a party hostel then this is probably not the best place. I met some amazing people & we went out several nights together so you definitely can stay here & have a good time, just not going to be a bar & a big party there. Monday & Wed nights the staff makes dinner for everyone on a tip's only pmt basis. 1 Euro beers for happy hour & 2 euro otherwise

I had the most amazing time in Berlin! East Seven is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed in and probably the cleaner too. The staff, except for one guy, is really helpful and nice. The hostel isn't that big and has a great common area, so it's really easy to meet people if you are traveling alone. The free tour, guided by Sylvia, and the free meals were really nice. I would definitely stay there again if I ever come back to Berlin!

Staff was great trying to help us much as possible on the change of rooms and giving intereting tips on the city itself, the negative side relates more to the hostel facilities, the beds weren´t as confortable as I could expect and the insulation on the bathroom wasn´t that good also, in cold days like January the bathroom remained quite cold. Apart from that, all great !

This is a hostel that lives and dies by its motto of "cleanliness is godliness." The state of the bathrooms and showers at all hours of the day is immaculate and can put Hyacinth Bucket's houskeeping skills to shame. 8-bed dorm was very spacious, comfy beds and perfectly heated. Staff was one of the friendliest I had ever encountered, proximity to U-Bahn also a huge plus, and 1EUR beers between 8-10pm certainly sweetened the pot. Stay here without a second thought or hesitation.

I stayed for one night for business purposes. It richly deserves the prizes it has won. There is great staff and I really liked the breakfast options and tips on things to do. I'd come back and stay here if I had more time and went on a city trip. One more comment - thin walls and a flimsy curtain on the window, bring earplugs and eye shades if you're a light sleeper (3rd floor, single room).

Good location, close to the underground, good security, and clean toilets + bathrooms. Free dinners on Mon and Wed are excellent (we had soup, salad, rice + vegetable curry, icecream + chocolate), make sure to tip the cook and it will still be cheaper than eating out. Not a party hostel, but dinners are great to meet people. Free walking tour (tip the guide) also recommended! Great for your first day. We enjoyed our stay, only thing that slightly annoyed us were the thin walls.

Good Hostel, would stay there again. Staff were very helpful and the location is very good. Easy to find with the help of the youtube video. Atmosphere was a bit lacking, if you're looking for the craic stay somewhere else. But for the basics... it ticks every box! :)

Best hostel I've ever stayed at. I've never seen a hostel as clean as East Seven, never had staff as friendly, had as spacious a room, had as comfortable a bed, the list is endless. The kitchen was STRAIGHT out of an IKEA magazine, it was amazing. Really is the best hostel in Berlin. 4 minutes from a U-Bahn underground station, 3 minutes from a grocery market, same street as a few food places. Great coffee, fun atmosphere, cheap beer. I booked an initial 4 nights, I stayed a week longer.

EastSeven is a very nice hostel for your perfect stay in wonderful Berlin! The hostel is located very close to the public transport (U-Bahn). The staff is friendly, knows you by name on arrival (in our case ;) ), and offers you very nice German beers for only* € 1,- (* during the happy hour). I think it's impossible to find a cleaner hostel than EastSeven around Europe. Another good point: shared facilities and fully booked (NYE '11-'12) but never had to wait for amenities, saw nobody. Great!!
