Nice hostel. I really like that this is a "non-party hostel"! Nice quiet atmosphere, good facilities, great location.

Fantastic place to stay. We stayed in a private double en suite room in the lodge. Room very spacious, comfy double bed nice linen provided. Shower hot and powerful, everywhere very clean. Small but very well maintained kitchen, lots of crockery, utensils etc. Matt a great host, very helpful, drove us to location of free walking tour! Great place to stay, would return if in Berlin again.

The hostel is ideally located in East Berlin, 8 min bus ride from the Hauptbahnhof (the main train station in Berlin where also the airport bus, TXL, stops). There are countless cafes and bars nearby, a supermarket and several shops, and the street is quiet which guarantees good night's sleep! It's situated in a residential apartment so it's a no-party hostel, which was perfect for us. Would highly recommend it! Oh, do remember to take a padlock with you for room lockers, they don't have those!

Even though they advise you that it is not a party hostel EVERYWHERE on their page, we did not expect it to have the atmosphere of an abandoned house. You barely see other guests and the common areas have no colour or soul at all. The walls are a too thin - we could hear everyhting that was going on the room next to ours. Although they say free wireless, if you stay on the secundary building you DON'T have access to it. Pros: Location is really good and the staff is nice.

Very quiet hostel which is nice but no atmosphere in the communal rooms at all & funny smell there! The double rooms are basic & tiny but it good for a base for visiting Berlin sights. Free wifi was hit & miss. Free walking tour does a pick up at the hostel, really recommend that.

Good location - near Oranienburger Tor metro station and is walkable to Berlin Wall memorial. Great staff - very friendly and helpful. The reception desk is only open certain hours of the day which is inconvenient but there is a number to call should you have any issues. Problem if you don't have a cell. Definitely in a quiet residential area away from the noise of main streets - bit scary to get to at night. Bit expensive for facilities (common bathrooms, breakfast not included).

Great hostel just a 10 min walk from Hackescher Merkt and surrounded by good cheap eats and cafes. Great facilties (kitchen and bathrooms super clean and new). The hostel is small, only 3 rooms so it wasn't a rowdy/loud hostel stay. The staff is also really nice. I highly recommend it.

Very good location if you want to see the main tourist sites, but it is also close to a U-Bahn and S-Bahn line in case you want to explore other parts of Berlin. The rooms, bathroom and kitchen were clean, the staff was helpful and nice.

This is a really good place to stay, It is well located I walked almost all the time but there is a bus stop near, and the S bhan and U bhan are really close. My room window was facing the street and it was first floor so at some point I felt like everybody was watching at me, I know it is a quite secure city but you may want to add bars to the windows just to make your guests feel safe and comfortable. They have a kitchen so you can go and buy some stuff to the mini market round the corner.

The hostel is better than I expected. My dorm was really spatious and clean. It is a really small place... and super quiet... perfect for the ones who prefer to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The best part of it was the location, which is even closer than I thought to the Musemplatz. Highly recommed!

It took a while to find someone to let us into the hostel (the door was locked and no one picked up when we called the phone number provided), and when we did, the owner was a bit gruff with us, saying we'd have to wait while he checked in another couple. But he gave us a complete tour and was very helpful with museum and restaurant recommendations. The hostel is nice, our room was a bit small and cramped, but there's a good kitchen and it's easy to get to from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

Got the basics covered in a pretty good location, but the shower was cold and the lockers don't fit luggage. Awesome that they offer tea and french pressed coffee though! not a super social hostel, but definitely a decent base. A good stay.
