the area ist nice, quiet an very central, the staff is friendly an helpfull but: the rooms are extremly small, double with bunk beads. For two persons the price might be ok, a single traveller gets much better accomodation for less money.

A very nice hostel when you need a good nights sleep !! It is true to its word about not being a party hostel, staff were very friendly and gave us some good recommendations, location is close to main historical attractions making a metro trip unneeded.

Good, clean and quiet hostel in a great location. Not a party hostel so had a nice relaxed atmosphere and was quiet at night. Most of the major city sights (brandenburg gate, reichstag, holocaust memorial) a 20-30 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and gave good suggestions for sightseeing and nearby restaurants and bars.

Great location! Well worth staying in Mitte as then everything else is walking distance. We stayed in the private rooms. A bit small, but no complaints with size. Room and hostel was spotless, kitchen was well equipped and the staff were very helpful with information. Not a party hostel, though they say so clearly. But this suited us. Only complaint is the wifi reception in the private rooms is very very weak, sometimes no signal. Overall, great location, super clean and would highly recommend!

The window was totally sealing up because of under construction outside. The air is not good at that moment.

Owner is great, tells you everything you need to know about Berlin and the best places to go / best things to do. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom all nice. Location is brill - we walked everywhere. Highly recommend this hostel.

one staff member did not speak english well, so became an issue with opening door to hostel at night (there is code lock that seems obvious but door itself can be tricky). rooms are great, clean and big. great bathroom for the ensuite. nice staff, great location, would recommend highly

One of the friendliest places we stayed for our 3 week long trip! The staff was wonderful and very helpful, the rooms were clean and the showers were nice. It was a very environment friendly place as well.

Pro's: The location is excellent, pretty close to Berlin Mitte. There are a lot of good bars and restaurants around. It's also very central as you can take a walk for sightseeing. We had a two bed private room with a bathroom which is well equipped and we always had hot water for showers. Con's: The room we stayed was pretty small and become wet after two days. We were also freezing as the heating was already off (ok, usually it suposed to be spring in may and not cold and wet weather).

Nice hostel. They aren't kidding when they say this isn't a party hostel. Very quiet. TOO quiet. Overall worth the money. Friendly staff and good eats around. Bit far from the center.. Metro close by though. Walking tour picks you up at the hostel which is awesome. Wifi everywhere which is great. Towels, bedding (2euros) etc... Good for family or older couple. Worth the money. Wish there was tighter security.. staff usually gone before 8pm. Beds were uncomfortable though. But worth it.

Almost perfect. Very good position, near to the museum & pubs/restaurant. Only WIFI connection was not working.

My Girlfriend and I had a Doubleroom with own bathroom. The room was very small (Room Nr. 4), but we saw, that there are other Doublerooms with a lot more Space. Guess you have to be lucky to get one of them... It was very clean, secure and calm. Perfekt for a couple. Great location! Coffee's and Bar's around and everything is near by foot or bike. Negative was, that the Wireless-Internet was very bad (low or none signal). And there weren't any peg's for clothers.

Fantastic place to stay. We stayed in a private double en suite room in the lodge. Room very spacious, comfy double bed nice linen provided. Shower hot and powerful, everywhere very clean. Small but very well maintained kitchen, lots of crockery, utensils etc. Matt a great host, very helpful, drove us to location of free walking tour! Great place to stay, would return if in Berlin again.

Depressing, lack of character and excitement. Really isnt for anyone who wants to stay up past 10 pm. Location was good, staff was friendly although not a 24h reception. Kitchen was small and extremely basic. Beds were comfortable. Overall a medicore stay.

The hostel is ideally located in East Berlin, 8 min bus ride from the Hauptbahnhof (the main train station in Berlin where also the airport bus, TXL, stops). There are countless cafes and bars nearby, a supermarket and several shops, and the street is quiet which guarantees good night's sleep! It's situated in a residential apartment so it's a no-party hostel, which was perfect for us. Would highly recommend it! Oh, do remember to take a padlock with you for room lockers, they don't have those!

Very quiet hostel which is nice but no atmosphere in the communal rooms at all & funny smell there! The double rooms are basic & tiny but it good for a base for visiting Berlin sights. Free wifi was hit & miss. Free walking tour does a pick up at the hostel, really recommend that.

Even though they advise you that it is not a party hostel EVERYWHERE on their page, we did not expect it to have the atmosphere of an abandoned house. You barely see other guests and the common areas have no colour or soul at all. The walls are a too thin - we could hear everyhting that was going on the room next to ours. Although they say free wireless, if you stay on the secundary building you DON'T have access to it. Pros: Location is really good and the staff is nice.
