Excellently run hostel with a genuine and friendly atmosphere.. Great location for exploring Berlin... I highly recommended this hostel!!

Best hostel; very friendly staff and a great overall environment for travelers!

Katrin was really nice to us, she gave us the best suggestions where to go in Berlin. We immensely enjoyed our stay in this hostel. If only we had more time to spend in Berlin. The only downside of our room was that it is a little bit small. Overall impression was very good. The price was also adequate.

Absolutely wonderful hostel! The staff were amazing and the location couldn't have been better. It truly felt like a home away from home. If you are staying in Berlin, this is the place to stay!

Does a great job for a good price.

Great hostel in a great location. The staff are friendly and really funny! They also know berlin really well and can offer useful advice . The only annoying thing is the sensor showers, but they are hot and clean. 'Of course' you should stay at the eastener!

We had the best week in Berlin at The Eastener! staff are hilarious and so helpful, loved every minute!

The staff was extremely welcoming, willing to help and veery cheerful. The location was very good and quiet, almost in the city centre, near the u-bahns, so there was no problem with reaching suggested destinations. Our room (double) was a little bit small, but it is simply of no importance if you want to sightsee the city all day long, which I think every visitor has in mind ;-) The whole hostel was very clean, comfortable and cosy, definitely we will come back again ! :)

I felt really welcome there. The staff is very helpfull and tell you what you need to know about places to go, where to eat, how to walk around, facilities of the place and everything else. THEY ARE PRETTY FRIENDLY!!! The place is safe, is close to the station but we could do a lot of things on foot. :) The room is clean, the toilets and bathrooms are the same. And all this things for a incredible low cost! I really reccomend this hostel to everybody!

Awesome hostel! Nice and helpful staff, cool guests and great location (close to Friedrichstraße in the center of Berlin). Not a party hostel, but even more so a quiet +chilled atmosphere. Gives you the rest for busy days (sightseeing or whatever you have on the agenda). Berlin is a vivid city, so you might consider a great place to rest. Highlights: easy to socialize with staff and guests, reading lamp at bed, buy/cook own food & store your groceries in fridge/kitchen!! save cash ;-) lockers

Kai and Matt run a great hostel...very clean, great information on local sights and restaurants, and a real fun vibe. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Kai the hostel owner was absolutely fantastic. Couldn't have done anymore for us. Really nice guy. Great location. The room was small but very adequate. Amazing city!!!

Kai is the greatest Hostel owner I have ever met and I am a decently avid traveller. The hostel is small but has great character and it forces you to meet people you're staying with which is fun. The showers are always clean and the rooms are comfortable and warm in the winter! The kitchen is well equipped and I can't think of anything to complain about. The staff are more than amazing and very accommodating, Kai even let us stay in the commonroom after we'd checked out until our midnight train!
