Excellent staff! Everyone in the hostel are always willing to help, any hour it's necessary. Good location, about 500 meter of the closest subway station. The room cleaning service is very good and the facilities are comfy. Hope to come back soon! Dankeschön Matt!

I liked the atmosphere of the hostel very much and it was small enough to feel personal.

A nice little hostel close to the center. Also close to flea markets and the berlin wall memorial. The kitchen is small but well equiped and showers were hot. Towels were available for free. As we arrived late there was no one for check in. They did not make us pay the 2 euros for the bed linen because we checked in ourselves. I'd go there again.

This hostel was incredibly affordable - I barely paid more to stay here for 3 nights than I paid for 1 in Brussels. Bed was comfortable, room was warm, bathrooms were clean, showers were good. Kitchen was well-equipped, albeit a bit small, but this wasn't a problem while I was there because there were not many guests. Free food left over from previous guests meant I didn't have to spend much on breakfast. And there were suggestions of things to do posted on all the walls :-) I'd stay again!

I was in Berlin for a 4 night stay. We are a mum (55) and daughter (17) team so I thought we might be 'the odd pair' in the hostel. Far from it, everybody was really welcoming and friendly. The instructions were clear. The cleanliness was second to none (and I have stayed in a lot of hostels). The facilities were exactly what you'd need for a short stay in an expensive city. We enjoyed our stay, met some interesting people and would definitely visit Eastener again. Many thanks Matt!

There you really feel at home. We arrived late and we found a lovely note with all instructions to get in. Small kitchen but the hostel wanst huge.

Great hostel with friendly helpfull staff, clean bathrooms and bedrooms. The only complaint is that the beds are too noisy, they make a squeeky noise whenever we move.

We have booked a room without a bathroom and the bathroom we have to use was in the corridor. The bathroom's door had a big slit and didn't close completely. So anyone could see inside the bathroom while it was in use. We had to use towels and coats to close this slit all the time we had to use the bathroom. It was an inconvenient situation. Despite this, it was a good stay. If we return to this hostel, we would prefer to book a room with bathroom. Close to subway and train stations.

We absolutely loved staying here! My boyfriend and I were in Berlin for a long weekend, and this was the perfect spot for us! We had a cute little room with a double bed and a sink, and the free coffee and tea were great! Everything was very clean and the location was excellent (10 minutes walk to u-bahn and s-bahn and could walk to many places!). I would definitely recommend this hostel!

The owner of the hostel had a big problem in the day we were there because of works in progress. He solved the problem in a very fast and clever way. We felt very well accommodated. This was our second time in Easterner Hostel. Thank you, we will come back!

basic, but fine. the staff was nice and helpful. the location is brilliant, very central. the surrounding area is also nice and you'll be able to support yourself there easily. the place is quiet and relatively cheap.

Mattress in Room 3 has to be changed! Very very uncomfortable

It was absolutely nice hostel - very clean, good location, and they have all maps you need in Berlin!

Hostel was in a good location, 5 minutes walk to the train station or about thirty minutes walk to main sites. Very helpful staff however not much atmosphere. Small room but had what we needed.

Great staff, clean rooms, great location! Not to mention, the price was cheap! This was a great hostel! SO happy I stayed here and not in one of those commercial hostels. Was very happy that it wasn't a party hostel. I met such a great group of people during my stay too. My only complaint would be that the beds are pretty squeaky and you could hear every time someone moved in their beds.. Thanks again! Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Berlin.

A nice little hostel in a good location right near Oranienburger Tor. A good base for going wherever you want to go. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Wifi wasn't brilliant in the back building but computer out there was quite fast. Would stay again.
