The hostel felt very under-staffed. I barely saw anyone who worked there and before the outside door closed at night anyone could walk up from the street and make it to my room door with no hindrance. Also I would recommend that you keep the light on in the front area always - the benefit of staying in a hostel or hotel is that you are not alone, and someone will at least leave the light on for you when you get home. Location was great and price was great.

I was only there for a night, so it was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay. The place looks like its used to be nice and well cared for, but now noone cares anymore.

A bit "rough" and ready, but excellent value for money.

Very cramped conditions especially in the kitchen, lack of seating. At least it's cheap!

I would take all booking info with you as both me and the girl I was travling with had to make a booking on the day even although we had pre book , I felt that the staff member that was on at the time we cheeked in was very very un helpful and and it was only when pushed came up with a solution how ever I felt the morning staff member was more helpful over all it was not a bad stay but I don't think I will be going back

No character and unclean. A funny smell floats around the place. The sheet of the bed I was assigned had a dried blood stain. The staff changed it straight away but still it shouldn't have been there. Staff was certainly not friendly and almost rude. Feels like the place used to be warm and friendly but is now decaying to very low standards with serious cleanliness and potential security issues. If you are looking for a hostel with a backpacker kind of atmosphere, this is not the right place

The Twin room we were staying in was very smart just over the road from the back of the hostel the only problem was that the hot water which said it would come on at 5.30am didnt start firing up till around 6.30 when we were leaving the hostel.

There were a number of issues with the hostel, while ultimately clean, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. I could actually feel the springs through the mattress! In addition my room was right next to the tv/common room which was extremely noisy until late at night. Note that the kitchen is locked between 11pm and 8am!! Noone told me this on arrival and I had to leave my breakfast stuck there when I left at 7.

Overall this hostel is good, but it would be hard to stay longer than one night ias the kitchen is tiny and the shower kept running from cold to boiling hot without even changing the temperature dial.

Staff didnt seem to know what they were doing. Fridge contained several items of rotten food and smelled bad. Had to run a gauntlet of 4 air fresheners in the stairwell trying to mask a terrible odour with another. Building looked like a DIY project gone wrong, was dilapidated and charmless. Many things were broken. Hostel was quiet while we were there and the room itself was clean tidy and warm. Sink in room is a good thing.

We only stayed at the Hostel for 2 nights and everything was fine. I thought that our private room was overpriced at 30 quid per night. I was expecting a normal room with a double bed for this price but instead it was a room with 4 bunk beds and no window bar a tiny skylight. Other than that the Hostel was nice. Nothing amazing but the beds were comfortable and everything was pretty clean. only thing was if we were sharing a room the lockers were all broken so i wouldn't have been too impressed

very tatty looking. wooden bunks that looked incapable of withstanding any weight. Did not have twin rooms that we booked, could only offer us a bunk room to ourselves instead. They should not have taken bookings for rooms they did not have. Although we went elsewhere they still took full payment off my card the next day for rooms they did not have and we did not stay in!!!!!!!!! By far the worst hostel we have ever seen, and we stay in hostels all over the world

Kitchen closed during the night. Impossible to close the (too small) cupboards in the room. Nothing to put things in the shower room.

We were VERY disappointed with this hostel. The standard was appalling. We would strongly suggest that any visitors to Inverness make alternative arrangements. We have stayed at the Back or Bazpackers hostel in the past, but there were no vacancies. There is no comparision with that hostel where the standard is outstanding.

For one (or two) night it's alright, dont stay longer. It's not very nice, the sheets were smelling like smoke, I had to get some new. The shower is not very nice, but more or less clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Nos enviaron a un sitio alejado del edificio principal, lo único bueno es que eramos pocas habitaciones. La limpieza dejaba un poco que desear

My rating is so low because we were sent to another building where they have rooms for couples, where there is not staff and almost nobody. But the other building, where the dorms are, it seems much better. The place is ok if you just want to sleep and cook (it has a big kitchen). If you want a cheap and nice place to stay in Inverness go here.

Good location, but that's about it! I've been to a lot of hostels & this was one of the most expensive and worst! Wouldn't go again!
