Make sure you read the small print because they will screw you out of each penny they possibly can.

Everything was great except for the weather and the short daylight in Nov. When we reached the hostel, it looked eerie as is was dark and desolated until we met the lady in charge and when we went inside the hostel, everything in our perception has changed. fortunately we drove there via a gps (tom tom) , otherwise it may be difficult to look for it as it is not very near to the town of Fort Williams.Everything was great except for the weather and the short daylight in Nov. One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Scotland. The manager Sean, is a great guy and takes care of everyone very well. We had a good laugh when he put on his kilt! The hostel also has a great tv room and I met some great people. Lots of laughs and good times and it has the best location of all the Inverness hostels I've stayed at. 2 minute walk from train and bus stations. Decent showers with hot water. Warm rooms and good beds. I stayed an extra 5 days I liked it so much. Great price! One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Scotland. We were not in the actually eastgate hostel when we went which was kind of a disappointment. When we checked in they had some other guy take us on this hike way across town to another house in the outskirts where we had to stay so it was really misleading. We were not in the actually eastgate hostel when we went which was kind of a disappointment. if you get the private bedroom, it is in a different location than the main hostel, set apart a little off the road. the reception is closed from 12-4pm for "lunch" so don't try checking in then!! as for security, people can walk in and out all the time---i wouldn't trust leaving stuff out in the open there :-( but, as for accomodation the offsite location we stayed at is nice, quiet and roomy! good value for the money, i suggest it!if you get the private bedroom, it is in a different location than the main hostel, set apart a little off the road. the reception is closed from 12-4pm for "lunch" so don't try checking in then!! as for security, people can walk in and out all the time---i wouldn't trust leaving stuff out in the open there :-( but, as for accomodation the offsite location we stayed at is nice, quiet and roomy! good value for the money, i suggest it!...Close
