Nice hostel, almost no common area, nice and clean rooms and baths, average breakfast, no breakfast on weekends, good location Noisy at night from some bar/disco in the suroundings

Nice and clean one.Absolutely PERFECT location, close to nighlife and shopping area and it takes just 20 mins to historical old city.

A good hostel to stay at if you are looking for enjoying both the typical sights and the nightlife. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. However if you are a light sleeper you might need to bring ear plugs because of the loud music from the nearby clubs. That is if you get the rooms facing that street.

positive points very clean great location,even though it's very far from the airport negative points it's hard to find,and there is not even a signe with the name of the hostel on the front door every thing is tiny ,the rooms,toilets,stairs case,kitchen there is no lift

We had a great stay--the location is perfect, right in the heart of the fun and trendy New District. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and cozy. Noise travels in the building, so this could be bothersome if someone is a light sleeper, but didn't matter to us (we live in a city with plenty of traffic outside). Overall an excellent value!

I would definitely recommend the EastWest hostel to all travellers to Istanbul! The staff was super friendly, I can´t stress enough how kind they were and willing to offer advice on where to go, what to see, where to get good deals, etc. They were very patient and let us leave our bags there all day on the day of our check-out, since we had a departing flight late at night. They made the trip very enjoyable!

After we found our way there once we had a perfect stay. Nice staff, good tipps and a perfect place to start sightseeing as well as the clubnight! Definitely again!

Cheap and Cheerful, pleasant staff, adequate breakfast, absolutely fabulous location. Real backpacker stuff. THe downside was the terrible smell of drains in the first floor rooms. The owners really need to address this problem by providing a fan-driven exhaust in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, because of this we can't recommend.

Amazing hostel- staff are so helpful and so friendly. Very secure- I would not hesitate to stay here again. Great location- surprisingly quiet within a VERY central location in the tourist area of taksim. Very walkable- close to shopping, bars, clubs. Very helpful and friendly staff, offering good advice on where to buy football tickets / restaurants / hamam options. Excellent location - just off the main street in Taksim. Directions are perfect too, which is good as there is no EastWest sign at the entrance - they are in building no.20 on the street. Fairly quiet when I visited but there is an irish bar nearby which would be good for solo travellers to meet people. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!

excellent location 5 min or less from istiklal cadesi,the 6 dorm not spacious for 6 strangers but for a sleep perfect. The breacfast includes eggs,bread and marmelade,butter and cheese...not a variety but good of a quantity. No problem with the heating...the room was hot enough. The only disanvantage is that there is not a common pc.

Hard to find, so make sure you have the hotel phone number with you. The staff and the location were excellent and the hostel was new and clean.

There are no signs leading to the hostel, so if you forget the address by no means you can find it. I lost 2 hours to find it and although I was 3 times just in front of its door eventually I had to check the exact address in the Internet.

A nice hostel with the most friendly staff I've ever seen. The guys working there are extremely friendly and helpful. On top of it there is really nice breakfast and the location is very convenient, on a quiet street just 5min away from the main pedastrian street. Definitely a good choice

the location was great and the staff was very helpful...even came out to meet us at the cab and walk us back at 2am when we arrived. gave great recommendations on where to go and things to do.
