Location is good. But you really do get what you pay for. Basic facilities, the toilets tend to smell. There were rats, one nibbled a big hole in my bag. Lockers downstairs, but can be seen from the street directly. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything from other rooms.
A friend and I had booked for a dorm bed but on arrival he offered us a private room with ensuite for the same price, even when we extended our stay. Very helpful and a lovely gesture, thank you.
Dorm rooms are basic for the price, we upgraded to private room for minimal extra price. Wifi does not always work either
I originally booked a dorm room, but was moved because one of the staff thought my sister and I would be more "comfortable" in a private room. I soon realized why. The dorm room and bathroom was very, very dirty, and you have to walk down broken steps to even get to it. The common room consists of one table area, so if you're looking to meet new people, this isn't the place. I also think I got bed bugs here. I understand it's the travellers that bring them, but still - check your sheets!
Typical Veng Vieng hostel, just a bed, although a unique one at that, sort of a tree house theme. Good value for the price and not far from the main social area.
Nice place with awesome views, free coffe and tea and smiling stuff. Downsides: to get to my dorm u had to go through a narrow-not illuminated at night staircase, wifi is not great (works fine just at the lobby, and not always) and the showers werent very clean- always with at least 3cm of water on the floor, spiderwebs... There were bugs everywere, too, but that was to be expected... Just so u know in case ur apprehensive.
Very clean hostel, more like a hotel, great staff, , walking distance to everywhere and staff will organise tours for you! , only issue is that the bathrooms/showers etc are located 2 floors below the dorms
Great hostel if you are travelling alone to meet other travelers. Great chill out area at the back of hostel. Very relaxed atmosphere and beds are comfy. Hot showers too as it can get cold at times. Only issue was my shoes got stolen from outside. Take your shoes in with you. I was not the only person this happened too. Staff did int really seem to care when this happened but be cautious and don't leave your shoes outside.
This hostel is a very good base for any group or solo travellers. Its has a very friendly atmosphere and is the perfect spot to meet other backpackers. Overall the communual areas are kept clean but due to the type of building there are quite a few ants so dont keep any sweets in your bag as you will definitely end up making some undesireable friends!
This hostel is better described as bungalows. Looks great from outside but there is absolutely no sound insulation. Guests talk aloud every night. Just be prepared, and you'll be fine.
I was here last year and I came again this year. My initial plan was just for a night but just like last year, I over stayed up to 5 nights because I like it so much. They've improved alot since the last visit back in August 2012. No more narrow, shaking self-made bamboo bed and thin mattress and also holes everywhere on the mosquito net. Now good bed and mattress also kinda new mosquito net. The common area at the back yard also getting bigger devide by 2 sections. Love it!
I really enjoyed the treehouse feel this hostel had. The common room was very small and facilities weren't excellent. Location was a couple minutes from main bars and reatuarants.
Good location, very helpful and friendly staff. Stayed in the 4 man dorm was very pleased with room. Would definitely recommend Easy Go. Excellent value for money!
Quite a dirty place, but good atmosphere to meet others. A 10 min walk from the city center.
Split into two parts, ourselves in the other, across the road; our room was more like a cheap hotel - as we had booked a private double ensuite we were super happy. The hostel across the road seemed alright, bit dimmyly lit but didnt spend much time there really. Nice staff, friendly. Our room wasn't cleaned daily but was clean on arrival. Wifi - good
Easy go backpakers was a great place to stay. The staff were so helpful and spoke really good english. They even hand wrote translations for us when We needed to get something in town. They really care about there customers and made us feel at home. Value for money this place is great. It is simple clean cheap accomodation. And with being a 5min walk down the main strreet it is perfectly located.
Really nice people... THANKS!!!!

The location is perfect and is only 5-10mins walk from the city centre. The view from the dorms is stunning too. The only disadvantage of this hostel, is that the staff do not clean your room so your room gets dirty very quickly.
