Eco Pampa is by far the best hostel I stayed in, compared to all the others in South-America. It has the best location, is beautifully designed, very clean and a great breakfast. But most important is the great ambiance! There are always people around to chat with or visit the city together but at the same time there was luckily no noise at night. The staff is the best! Especially Sabino. Friendly and helpfull.

The rooftop patio and location are excellent but the staff was not particularly friendly and the breakfast was weak.

Staff couldn't be better! Thanks to Paula, Sophia, Mathu and Sabino, they are great. Atmosphere couldn't be better. Ensuite is perfect, with great bathroom, cable TV, air cond. Breakfast is decent, is not the best but far from beeing bad. The only negative point is the price for ensuites, it is expensive, but in Buenos Aires is difficult to find a place with this quality for it's price.

The only little downside was that the 8 bed dormitory was a bit crowded. Everything else was great! :-) The staff was absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, location near lots of bars, restaurants, and subway station in the heart of Palermo is just perfect and they have a nice green and cozy place on the rooftop! I highly recomend this hostel, I met a lot of cool people there! :-)

I really liked my stay. It felt like home. The staff was super friendly. It's a small hostel so I felt like I knew everyone there. Breakfast was more than the standard slice of bread or roll - real coffee, cake and alfajores! Lockers in the rooms and good security. Lots of places to sit and hang out in the lobby, the roof, plus my dorm had a balcony. The location was really convenient - a few blocks from Plaza Italia, tons of bars, shops and cafes close by. I'd stay here again any time.

What a nice place to stay! The Palermo area is very nice with all its restaurants and cafés. The staff are fantastic and know a lot about the city and are very welcoming. The kitchen is kind of small though, so if you plan on cooking a lot you may be disappointed.

This hostel should be amazing, so much potential. The staff bar one lady are shocking!! Disinterested or too busy (chatting to some guy) to buzz you in leaving you standing outside! Not much to say, i wouldn't bother!

It would be nice if it was possible to lock the doors to the toilets, or just close the door would be a improvment.

Wish there was a more lively environment at the hostel. Events on thr weekend never happened. Don't advertise it if you aren't going to do it! Besides that great place. Not sure where the eco part comes in (besides the signs to save water while brushing your teeth...)

Hi Hannah! We want to explain you why we are the first Eco Hostel in Buenos Aires: - We have a Solar water-heater in series in our terrace that serves to save energy and gas. The water goes out to the thermos with increased temperature. - Solar panels for charging cell phones, computers, deck lighting, plugs, etc. - Eco-Computers:. Reduce energy consumption. Slightest sound. -The outputs of the taps (not monkey command), this facilitates use less hot water and save energy. - Openings in all environments, for use less light. - Energy-saving lamps. - Eco-TCL: Cf. technology of low temperature and back Adjustable Light automatic or manual, save up to 50% of consumption. - Dichroic and quartz from Leeds to the bar and illuminate spaces - Green roof: Creates a thermal environment. Contains a space between the ceiling of the room and the plate, this makes air circulation: Serves as acoustic insulation, low temperature and makes the atmosphere is thermal. . Creeper resting on the roof, which serves as a structure for venting as shades the room, and purifies the air. -Terrace lawn alive: purifies the air and contributes to oxygen. - Vines on the roof, in order to mitigate CO2 emissions and lower the carbon footprint. - Tank under the roof and gutters that stores rainwater is used for different purposes (watering plants, cleaning, etc). - Quills-outs containing filters and Water Dispensers. This increases the pressure and generates more flow. - Instructional manuals how-brushing teeth, bath, maple, washing dishes, etc. the consumption the water in its different uses for both customers and staff. - Double discharge bathrooms: toilets with dual flush button: a button for pee and one for poop. Pee button enables a discharge of 30% of the poop. - Filter Aerator: All our faucets aerator filter used. It has been proven that using these filters is reduced by 40% of water consumption. Many times we do not need much water, but well laid out (as in the shower), the filter aerator is better water distributor. - Mono commands: No commands used with mono taps. The mono commando, while it’s very convenient and practical, uses hot water constantly, meaning that in addition to using water, uses electricity and heat (gas). Many times you do not need hot or warm water for different actions such as hand washing, teeth, dishes, etc. - We reuse of the assets of the original house. - We use Eco-friendly materials for construction. - We reuse-organic waste, sorting and separating waste. - Reuse furniture, all are rescued from auctions and antiques fairs and recycled. - Use eco-fabrics - Fabrics crude, natural, no bleaching procedures, or chemicals or pollutants. (Same as above) - We have a compost organic on the ground, in order to the anicas substances keep to natural cycle, it was built with the house remains unusable for its original function - Separation of waste: Although the city of Buenos Aires does not have a differentiated waste collection, we do as follows: organic waste goes to our compost on the terrace, paper and cardboard, plastics and glass are given to a cooperative of cardboard * (urban garbage collectors) that collect and separate the materials. Me and my husband spent 4 days in total in this hostel and we loved it! Its located in Palermo (one of the nicest quarters in Buenos Aires), really close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, metro station (just 4 blocks from the hostel). The staff is really nice and it is always available to help you with anything you may need. If you are looking for a hostel in Buenos Aires, this is an excelent choice. Sure, there are cheaper options out there. But would you stay in the Center? I wouldn't!!!
