Edge House is perfect: a small guesthouse with relaxed atmosphere and great staff. Not a typical hostel, which is only good.

Stay away from this hostel. It's in a good location, but that is the only positive. The place is filthy, reeks of cigarettes (the owners smoke inside) and the weirdest part is it is a family home. Their daughter's room is attached to the so-called 'kitchen'. No help with directions or anything from staff, way too expensive for the service. You've been warned.

Great location and really nice host!

Literally a room in someone's house. A nice place, with friendly owners. Have recently purchesed a larger property, so they will be expanding. A nice quiet place, but not a great opportunity to meet many other travelers, with such a small capacity. Would stay again.

Finding the door of the place is a bit vague.

Good Hostel at good price. Host was great and helpful. She is a very nice lady and made us a great dinner too. Great location. Place was clean and kitchen was open for use. Hostel is small and houses about 5-6 people and has a homley feel to it.

Hostel owner was well meaning and friendly. However hostel was quite unprofessionally. When we first arrived we asked the owner for a city map, for which she declining stating, "people keep taking my maps, best get one from tourist information office"... Sorry, not good enough. The security in the double bed room is the biggest problem. There is no ensuite in the "private" double room, but rather an unlockable door leading to a communal bathroom. Meaning anyone has access to you room! Not good!

What we liked: Owner was very helpful and the house is very well located in a lovely calm street. Good price for the city and good equipment in the house (big kitchen+ big tv, wifi...). Cute kitten in the common area. You have you own key so you can go in an out as you want. What we disliked: No lockers and broken handles (fixed it myself!!) on both doors of the double room. Temperature at night was very low in the room. Not recommended for non-smokers or people allergic to cats.

Very friendly welcoming.., good hospitality. If you can't afford a luxurious hotel and you want to stay at a place in the Centre of Antwerp where you are being truely welcomed Edge House is very value-for-money and a good possibility.. Apart from the basic necessities - don't expect golden bath taps - you get possibility for 24/7 entrance, can enjoy warm bath-shower and you stay at the end of a quiet street (no noise keeping you out of sleep)
