Lack of computers and printing facilities was annoying. Not enough fridges to store food due to large spaces being taken up by "long term" residents. Lack of character in general. Location great.

The place to be if you like to stay up late barhopping... But if you like to go to sleep early, avoid it! Especially on weekends, when partying can be had right outside until 3 or 4 am.

I went to this hostel to catch my flight very early the morning. It is really well situated in Edinburgh and very close to the airlink. But I can't have slept during the night because of the noise in the street and I didn't have any hot water the morning.

Guy at the desk gave us keys to the wrong room. Thanks dude, that took an additional 20 minutes to sort out and you didn't even say sorry.

The place was centrally located which was perfect. Around the building were loads of cafès and convinience stores and easy access to the new town as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful... The room we got was quite cozy & quiet... I would have given an excellent rate had it not been the lack of wi-fi connection in our room. We had to go back to the main building to get connected. But heyho, we still had a great time in edinburgh!

It's quite dirty and the mattresses are appalling (probably the worst I've ever slept on). Apart from that the location is good and if you're only here for a night or two it'll do (maybe you're lucky and get a better mattress or you just have to numb the pain with alcohol)

The location was very good but the room was not very clean when we arrived and the window was broken so we heared a lot of noise during the night. I think you should clean your rooms better and fix the window.

Showers are every other floor so you need to run in your pyjamas in the common staircase, which, additionally, is cold. So are bathrooms. There is no space where you can safely leave your things while having a shower. I'm not sure how often they change their bed linen. And when you think how expensive it was... I will definitely not stay there again unless I absolutely have to.

We stayed in a private double room on the top floor, which gave great privacy and a fantastic view over Edinburgh. The stairs up to our room made us fit every time we wanted to go to our rooms. The kitchen and living area was massive. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Party every night. The character of this hostel is like that. It's not for chilling out but you will have good time if you like drinking. The staffs are sporty. Breakfast and locker are not free, but location is so good.

This hostel was in the perfect location the staff was very helpful. Only downside there was limited hot water so I ended up having to take an ice cold shower.

Very central location, staff very friendly & helpful. Room was clean (had a private room) but common areas especially the lounge were quite smelly and felt dirty. Also would be helpful to have a place to hang your things when taking a shower

We\'ve booked a Private enSuite which besides being very dirty, our private toillete was terrible - the floor tiles were coming out, the toilet seat was broken. The carpet of the room was too dirty and in very bad condition, the matresses weren\'t good either. I had to ask for towels and got the reply that only one ( lousy and small) would be supplied for us . Location is very good and staff in general very herlpful. The common kitchen always very dirty .

dirty showers, garbages not emptied also not on the next day, not enough toilets, small rooms, not clean either. staff seemed to be annoyed by late check in people, no explanations... overall for me: it was a too big and unpersonal hostel
