we had our booking cancelled last minute so had to find somewhere on the day. This place was ok but we were not advised of the facilities or what we could do in the area. There was no communication between the reception and us apart from checking in and out. The place was clean but we had to ask for our hand soap to be refilled as it was empty when we arrived. Allover not a bad experience apart from the distance to the city centre. We spent a considerable amount of money for taxis.

The woman who checked us in and checked us out was very helpful and friendly and made me feel welcome.

My room wasn't properly cleaned every day of my stay: the staff simply folded my towels (didn't change them, even though I had put them on the floor) and did the bed (never changed the sheets either). The bathroom was poorly cleaned, and the toilet paper wasn't replaced as it should. I've found the front door unlocked a few nights of my stay, so I didn't feel safe. The staff would just come into my room in spite of me asking them to wait a sec, so had a couple of embarrassing situations.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Egan's Guest House. The staff were very friendly and gave me great suggestions for places to go. I didn't participate in the breakfast that they offered but I am sure it would have been good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
