Great place! Loved our stay here. We especially liked that have tuk tuk drivers there for tours.... We didn't need to haggle... Prices were there and fair. The rooms were great except that they have a curtain instead of bathroom door. There was 0 privacy which isn't great
Quite clean and restaurant bar area is very good and reasonably priced.
i recommend this place, the staff is super friendly rooms are clean and nice atmosphere is quite chilled food is great and the pool is much appreciated
Great place to stay but do not book tours here. You can book the same tours at the travel agents for much cheaper.
Be forewarned that there is currently construction/renovations going on here. The early morning hammering served as my alarm clock. The hostel has potential. The pool and chill out area downstairs is nice, the food is good and the bedrooms are decent. But the staff seems really unorganized and were not the friendliest. I changed my booking on arrival from one night to two and they seemed very distraught over the matter. Quite a long walk to anything in town. Tuk tuk recommended.
Overall this is a good place to stay. The highlight was the pool, which is in the sun, so you can cool off but its still warm and seating around the outside is in shade. Location is a bit out of town but tultuks don't cost too much and you can walk to the night market. The manager seems quite stretched and stressed and got a bit aggrevated when i said that the shower wasnmt working (it actually was but the switch had been turned off as no instructions). Has lockers if you bring a padlock.
Staff lovely and very helpful, pool nice, but food served in bar area not great. Apart from that rooms very clean and really good A/C. Would stay here again
Great hostel! The only reason I'm not giving this place a 100% is the location, but that being said it only takes you 2 bucks to get you almost anywhere in the city. Foods great, staff are friendly, and the poolside atmosphere will keep you entertained all day if you dexude not to leave for the day.

Nice hostel: clean, good atmosphere to meet new people, nice restaurant and great swimming pool. Beds are very big as well. The only downside is the location: the only place they have normal breakfast is at the hostel itself, which is quite expensive. That was the reason why we moved to the center after three nights. But we definitely liked the vibe here. would stay here again!
The dorm room where we stayed was comfortable, but there are 3 things i would say to prospective customers, 1) there are no locks on the dorm room doors 2) the hostel is unsecure. Lots of tuk tuk drivers and their children come into the hostel to use the bathroom and could very easily go upstairs to the (unlocked) rooms with no one seeing them. 3) the location is not great, there is a (amazing) local restaurant next door for breakfast but to eat/do anything else you need to catch a tuk tuk.
Eighty8 Phnom Penh is one of the best hostels we have stayed at in our last 2+ years of travelling in South America, Europe and now South East Asia. Friendly reception, bar and cleaning staff. Lovely air-con dorms.
Excellent hostel with friendly and accommodating staff. The pool and bar area on the first floor was the perfect way to cool off after a long day visiting the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum. About 10 minutes walk away from the Night and Central Market and right around the corner to Wat Phnom and Riverside. Would definitely stay again!!
Great place to meet new people because it's not too big but big enough. The food was lovely especially the samosas :) reception staff were great and even helped me unlock my backpack because I lost my keys. Tuk tuks outside were really handy. My tuk tuk didn't arrive to pick me up from the bus station so they refunded my money for what I paid. One of my favourite hostels so far
The hostel is what the other reviews have said, a cloud of smoke from all the dope heads. But if you can get past this - there is a pool and tv which is rewarding after a long day at the killing fields. The bathrooms are not well kept which is a shame also a shame is the price of food especially as you have to pay for breakfast. The staff were average in comparison with other hostels we have stayed in. Overall a fine place to stay one or two nights but not for ages.
Loved this place so much we stayed here twice! Bedrooms & bathrooms are basic but clean & Eighty8's other facilities, such as the lovely pool, are of a very high standard. The over-bar dorm's quite noisy but Hotel Eighty8 is very clear about this prior to booking & you'll want to make the most of the bar anyway, with its fantastic atmosphere, made even better by the friendly, attentive staff. The owner is a lovely guy and I really felt like he valued our feedback. Bonus points for Penny the cat

The big draw here is the pool and amazing common area. The dorms are also really big and open so you've plenty of space. Only downside is its outside of the main backpacker zone of restaurants and bars but this can be overcome with tuk tuk ad Moto services which the hostel offers. A definite recommendation!
Very clean rooms and great staff. The restaurant has good food too (and cheap drinks at the bar). A pool table free of charge and the pool itself were awesome. It was very easy to meet people too! I would stay here again for sure.
Brilliant hostel, great food and bar, good atmosphere and pool is definetly a bonus! Room was spotless and big beds, would reccomend!

Great Hostel. Highly recommended. Great and friendly staff.
Great place to stay! The bar has great food at great prices. Plenty of people to meet and shoot pool with. Beds are big and comfy. Had some issues with a phone charger gone missing but it was recovered. Would stay here again for sure.
