Even though I confirmed the reservation a week before I arrived and booked 3 months in advance, I was bumped to another location when I arrived. It didn't help that we arrived at 2am. In fairness the owner did seem to be considerate to the situation, which is the least I'd expect and offered us a decent discount. That said I would have still preferred to have got what I booked and planned for. Good place for sleeping and self-catering, central location, very helpfull stuff - a bit sad there is no common room for meeting other travellers and the exterior is a bit shabby! the Einholt Apartments was over booked, so another hotel was arranged for me. First, Einholt Apartments should notice me in advance that I have to change to another hotel. We arrived to find that there had been a technical error in our reservation. But the owner and manager was kind enough to upgrade us to a much bigger and nicer room with a great view. The prices are unbeatable! He went out of his way to make our stay pleasant and memorable. We loved Iceland and will surely return to Einholt / Bolholt Apartments when we get back!We arrived to find that there had been a technical error in our reservation. We did not actually get to see the inside of a room at Einholt despite the fact that we had two confirmed reservations to stay there. The first time the guy at the front desk said he\'d given our room away to people who had come in late the night before. The second time he said he was booked solid. In both instances he found us rooms at other hostels (one much further away). He was unapologetic both times, though he did give us a discount the second time.
