From the airport
There is a new airport in Quito, we are searching for information about the prices of the taxi from there to Quito, they say that the official price is $26 but we are not sure yet about it.

There are two bus stations in Quito, the first one is called 'Quitumbe' it is in the south of the city, a taxi from there to the hostel should not exceed $10. you can also take the trolley bus ($0.25) to 'Parque Ejido' from there a taxi ($1) to the hostel.
The second one is called 'Carcelen' a taxi from there to the hostel should not exceed $7. Taking buses from there to the hostel is a bit complicated.
