I first wanted to stay at the Playa Suites, but then learned that it was closed in Low Season, so I got transfered at the other El Diablo Tranquilo hostel. It was very nice, the staff was awesome, the food they were making very good and the beach atmosphere was very nice. Of course it is not the cleanest hostel I've been, this is a beach hostel, so a lot of sand everywhere, it is not a problem! I really enjoyed my stay, it was a kind of vacation in a vacation!

Location on the beach can't be beat! But both locations have a great vibe and the bar at playa suites is a great place to hangout. Everyone on the staff is super friendly and want to make sure you have a good time. Really enjoyed my time here and definitely recommend either of the two hostels.

My girlfriend and I had splashed out on the superior oceanfront room for 3 nights costing some 450 dollars in total. we soon discovered how unclean and unprofessional the entire place is when we had to ask for toilet paper and glasses for our room. The glasses we received were dirty! The room wasn't cleaned once, the shower was blocked and flooding, the sink tap was broken and the windows were filthy. The breakfast staff are INCREDIBLY rude and the breakfast was the worst I've had In 3 mths.

The hostel is beautiful and located in a nice corner of the beach, it's pricey and could be cleaner, but as I stayed only one day, it was ok, but I'd probably stay in another hostel if I had more time.

I have stayed 3 nights at one of the suites facing the ocean. Amazing views, very nice place to stay even it is not cheap. Steve was very helpful and it seemed better organized than the other "Diablo Tranquilo Hostel" that is quite standard.

Looking for a quiet place to stay where everyone will make sure that can relax? This is NOT the place. The staff is half the time on Facebook and unlikely to be able to help you with anything. It took them a whole day to tell me that the shuttle's driver had lost his licence, they were unable to indicate me a way to get some cash so that I had to walk 50 min (no map) to the bus station to buy my ticket back and got there 20 min before it closed. Surrounded by cheaper better organised hostels.

During the time of my stay there was a fantastic group travellers lodging in the hostel, this combined with the awesome, laid back, helpful and friendly staff, and of course the incredible location, made this part of my 3 month trip the highlight. Thumbs up! Also, I would highly recommend the horse riding that the hostel can organise for you.

I had a wonderful time at my stay at Playa Suites! You couldnt ask for a better location, there is nothing quite like drinking your coffee in the morning on the deck, watching the sun rise over the ocean. The staff was great and the restaurant downstairs had live music almost every night. Everyone was really friendly and wanted to make sure that the guests had everything they needed and that everyone was having a good time. I would definitely recommend this hostel for a trip to punta del diablo.

Nice hostel in excellent location. The staff was very helpful but my room was full of black mold. Men's shower were out of order for 3 days. Wifi works good, the breakfast nearly at the beach is really nice. All in all it's definitely too expensive but the location is worth it.

You get the best service ever that you can receive at any hostel. I have never seen a better one and I don't think it exists. But you certainly pay the price for it... I truly appreciated all the hospitality and entertainment. But if you are just looking for a cheap place to stay without anything like this you will find a cheaper place.

Overall it was good, however it was a bit pricey and not sure its worth it as there are other options in Punta del Diablo.

This hostel had an excellent atmosphere and really friendly staff who were keen to give advice or have a chat. I was at the hostel during peak season and it had a really good vibe about it. At any time of day or night there were always people hanging out in the common area, usually having a beer. I was quite grateful for having ear plugs and an eye mask as I don't think I would have got any sleep without them. The 9 bed dorm was hot and crowded but had large lockers. Overall I LOVED my time!

Cleaning the bathrooms should improve.

A perfect location right by the beach and some super friendly staff. Although we stayed in high season, $100 for a fairly basic double room really was not good value. in the off season, with lower prices to match, this would be a good choice.

The premise is that fosho it was a great stay. Having mentioned that, well, everything is a way too expansive, form the stay itself to the beers, sandwiches etc. The place is really right on the beach!

We had great days at diablo tranquilo. But our room was moldy. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great.
