Great group running both hostels. Dinners set up every night, and friendly atmosphere.

Great hostel!!! So nice located - just 50 metres from the beach - you can see the sunrise from the terrasse. Many thanks to the staff - especial Nico and Yvonne!!! So nice and helpful. They organised Yoga, Bikes... I would say everything (-: Also the dinner in the twin hostel was great. In sum one of my best stay in south america.

The terrace is by far the best about the hostel! Stunning view while hangin in the hammock. Staff is helpful and everyone spoke English. Locker available for the valuables. The cleanness of the bathroom was overall okay. I didn't like that almost everything they offered were in the twin hostel. BBQs, Bikes etc. Sure was a short walk but anyway. Offering some entertainment in this hostel would be great. The WiFi was really bad. Booking a hostel took me 3 hours. Rooms getting hot. No AC.

The diablo tranquilo was so far the best hostel i have been to in south america. Even though i spent more time in the sister hostel than the playa suites itself it was really a great stay there. The staff is awesome and super friendly, makes you feel like being part of a big family. The playa suites is really right next to the beach with a great view of the sea. I just can recommend this hostel and was really sad that i had to leave again.

Really nice hostel and staff. The best location, just at the beach. Breakfast could be a little better, it's just bread, jelly, fruits, coffee and milk. The only thing that I didn't like is that they charge you 10% if you use your credit card.

Firstly great location. Perfectly set on the beach. Great views from the balcony. Bar downstairs serves awesome burgers. However, no kitchen in this one so had to go sister hostel to cook. Breakfast is basic. Some of the staff were good some not so. We got told the wrong time for the bus to Chuy which then had our bus to Brazil at 12pm. Ended up having to walk out of town to the main road and hitchhike to Chuy. Lucky we found one at this time at night and thankfully caught our bus. Not ideal

My stay couldn't have been better. When they say "beachfront" they mean it, not even a road between you and the water, just the wooden boardwalk that you take down from the street to get there. This property works in conjunction with the other El Diablo Tranquilo so you really get two great spots for the price of one. The staff make you feel like family and after a couple days honestly it was hard to tell who was working and who was on vacation - just a bunch of people having a good time.

Definitely the best hostel in South America! Had a great time here, relaxing on the hammock looking to the sea, partying with the friends that I met there and with the amazing staff. The hostel is just in the beach, you can wake up and go to swim in 5 minutes. The beer was cold, the weather was warm, the people was friendly... I rent a bike and went to Santa Teresa National Park, that is one of the most beautiful places that I have been in my life. I`m sure that there you will feel like at home!

Great place right in front of the beach, the sea view was very enjoyable and so was the ambience at the main hostel up the road. Thanks everybody.
