Nice place to stay right in the center of Granada´s old town. Good atmosphere at the hostel. Definitely I would stay at the hostel if I´ll be back to Granada.

One of the best hostels we have come across. Everything was perfect, the staff are very helpful and Freddy gave us such detailed advice he practically planned our stay in Granada. The beds in the room were amazing too, and some of the best shower pressure you can find. We were recommended this place by friends and would recommend it to anyone, great for families also.

It was a nice hostel and the staff was very helpful but there wasn't much to do at the hostel. Most places I've stayed know about tours through the city or have events planned to meet people who are staying at the hostel too and this wasn't the case.

The best hostel I ever was. The location was very good because it is near the cathedral, we could go everywhere by foot. The staff was great, they helped us a lot and they were so kind!!! Many regards to Valentin, Matias and Nicolas! The rooms where very big and the bathrooms were very clean.we would definitely stay again in this hostel and we recommend it to everyone no matter the age.

The hostel was a perfect place to stay for a couple of days in Granada. I was looking for a quiet and relaxed place and this place was it. It was clean, breakfast was good and the staff was super helpful all the time! Whenever I asked for directions or recommendations they took aaaaaaaalll the time they needed to give them to me. Beware.. if u are looking for a party hostel this is not it! Super nice place to stay though...

Freddy is a brilliant member of staff. Abundantly helpful and friendly. Large lockers to stuff your bag into. Large bathrooms. The only downfall I would say is that the 3 tier bunk beds were too closely piled on top of each other and I felt more then claustrophobic. If only they would space then a little more widely apart.

Fantastic hostel, run by fantastic people. The common area was very homey and had an amazing, clean kitchen. The rooms and bathrooms were also great. The staff were extremely helpful giving a complete run down of Granada when we checked in including a tip on where to go to see some live Flamenco music and dancing which was not aimed at tourists so we felt happy to have a 'true local' experience. We also had quite an in depth chat about the history and politics of Granada which was fascinating!

The hostel facilities and location were great, its by far the cleanest, most modern and most comfortable hostel ive been in. You can really get a good night sleep here. However, although the owners were really nice and helpful, I found the afternoon/night receptionist Lena to be very rude, bitchy, impatient, uniterested and unhelpful and she alone kind of ruined my trip to granada as It was extremely hard to ask he for advice on the city. The hostel amtosphere also was not great.

Owner Comment (Show)
We are sorry to hear that you did not like her. However, she has been with us for 3 years and HWs travellers are rating our staff around 95%. We interpret this rating that most of our guests likes her. It is easy to be nice to someone who is nice and fun to be with someone who is fun. Maybe it works the other way as well, someone not fun will be treated with no fun.

Very centrally located, clean with attentive staff, good breakfast. The dorm room was rather small - it seemed appropriate for 4 beds, not 6, and there were three beds above each other, with very little space between them. The common area was the opposite of lively and cheerful: no music, a bit dark - it almost felt like you have to whisper there. Good choice if seeking a quiet place, and I felt like it was good value for money.

I loved my stay at El Granado. They were super clean and the hosts were super friendly. I especially want to thank Freddy for that marvolouse explanation of the city on the map. I quickly knew where to go,what to see, where to eat,and how to get around. He explained about tapas among other things. Very helpful staff. The building itself is a few hundred years old but the inside is beautifully renovated while keeping the old architectural structure once used by Islamic Spain.

Great hostel, in an excellent location and with a great staff, who won't hesitate to offer you every single advice to help you make the most of your stay in Granada. Facilities are clean, modern and comfortable. Plenty of local transport to get to the Alhambra and the Albayzin (it's even easy to go walking from the hostel). I would definitely choose El Granado if I went once more to Granada!
