I had an awesome time at the El Gualicho. The best in my stay in Argentina. Very clean, big kitchen, a nice lounge room, very kindly staff. In summary, I wish all hostels were like the El Gaulicho :)

Really comfortable rooms, i had ensuite dorm with modern facilities. kitchen excellent. i wasnt on time for right whales but orcas were there bt we missed by 15 min. managed tours tend to stick to schedule rather than likley hood of seeing whales ie so if the tide is only just in they will go anyway:-( we missed seeing my 15min. at right whale session this would be a great base. relaxed.

We organize our tours so that passengers can see as many animals as possible, in the case of the Orcas have to be at high tide, which was at the time we were when you made the trip. Nature can not be measured for 15 minutes as an aquarium. Thanks for commenting

Rooms were good: Clean, bed was firm and shower was good pressure and hot. There was a slight smell coming from the bathroom though, probably the drains. The staff were helpful with everything we asked. The bikes for hire were poor - almost all of them were poorly maintained, and there is no way you should charge $70 to hire them.

We constantly maintain the bikes, unfortunately it seems the one you tried to use was not in good condition, probably because some previous misuse. Thanks for your comment

Great hostel thats kept immaculate with big communal areas and a spacious kitchen if you wish to cook. Breakfast also good for Argentina. Only downside is the relationship they have with Chalten Travel Turismo- tour guide was grumpy, impatient and lacked information to make our trip to Punta Tombo more informative. Change tour company because hostel and people working there are great!!!

For the most part a great hostel. he only problems were: The Wi-fi had problems (the router was bad), and they wouldn't fix it. It would kind of work, which was very frustrating. I wouldn't recommend renting a bike there, the bikes were pretty bad.

Thanks for your comment! Router isn`t the WiFi problem, is the service. We`ll decide to change it, in a couple of days it`ll be working the new one. We give maintenance to the bykes constantly, It could happen one byke had a problem, but when is like this we change it or also it can be use another day
