Great Hostel! I totally enjoyed my stay at El Hostalito! Great rooms, breakfast, kitchen where you can cook your own fresh food from the local market. The living room has a lot of dvd's! Great location, Cute garden.. Joaquin did a great job; BBQ on the roof and played Bike polo with us. Would recommend this place soo much!!!

Thoughtfully designed, well laid-out hostal. Clean dorms and bathrooms and friendly, helpful staff. The location is excellent and the lack of bunk-beds is welcome.

I had a really nice stay and the place is really central located and the beds are really comfortable. Also the staff was really nice and helpfull. They dont have so many beds there and i think it can be a bit boring there if you travell alone.

Excellent hostel. It was like being at home with a well stocked kitchen, large DVD collection, hot water and a spacious dorm. No bunk beds! I highly recommend staying here.

we stayed in a private room, with shared bathroom. The bed had seen better days and the pillows very thin, but it was comforable enough to get a good nights sleep. The Hostel was very, very clean and had a kooky kind of decoration, which was fun. The down side was that it was extremely cold. Everything was concrete and no heating, except for an open fire in the lounge room- but you have to buy the wood for it.. a small bundle for a high price. Breakfast served till late, which was great.

I stayed for four nights here and really enjoyed it. Joaquin is a lovely guy and makes you feel at home as soon as your arrive; he makes recommendations and helps you out. He even washed my clothes for free! The common area is great, with comfy sofas, DVDs, internet and wi-fi. The breakfast is excellent too: cereal, coffee and a huge bowl of oranges to make your own delicious juice in the morning. You're 3-4 mins from the central plaza, which is perfect. The dorms were cosy and clean. Stay here!

Good location, close to the main streets. Good wi-fi, quiet chilled out atmosphere. Friendly staff. Awesome DVD collection. Bathrooms were a bit old / unclean. The place could be a bit cold at times.

Really enjoyed my stay. Only criticism would be about the bedding. Perhaps provide guests with a bottom AND top sheet, as well as the blankets. I didn´t like having the blankets touch my skin, when I knew that they had been used by previous guests.

I was there 2night, they are lovely people. because of some technical problems although I reserved a dorm, they changed my room to private without charging me a single money.they make everything great for me, and they are very friendly :)

Great location! Central but quiet! We stayed for 5 nights and had a very pleasant time. Only shortcoming worth mentioning: the walls in our double bedroom were quite mouldy and that smelled rather badly …

We stayed 3 nights in this special hostel, where you really felt at home... It is in a great location, 3 blocks from main plaza... the rooms where nice and clean, the kitchen with all you need and your own space to leave your food.. the owner Joaquin was very nice and helpful.. But the best of this hostel was the good vibe of the people, the atmosphere and the design that was so original and creative.. I really recommend this friendly and complete hostel!

I loved this place, and San Cristobal, so much that I kept adding nights and I even came back to it later on in my trip. Anna and Joaquin would bend over backwards for you and treated you like a friend rather than a guest. The place feels like home and has excellent common areas - I met so many great people here because of the vibe and great places to hang out, like a comfy living room, dining room, kitchen, outdoor area and hammocks. Security is good and the bathrooms were cleaned every day.

I had a great time at hostalito! The hostel is very well located, next to the real de gudalupe and zocalo. If you need anything they will help with any information you need! Stay there!

The original greeting was pretty poor. I wasn't given tips on where to eat or good things to do while there. Despite this the actual stay was good. The people staying there are nice and not having bunks is a massive plus! The wifi didn't work an the computer was slow. Kitchen facilities were amongst the best I've ever seen and the breakfast in the morning is simple but an added bonus! Location is really great and overall a really great place to stay!
