our stay had been very pleasant at El Misti! People are so nice and very accessible. The emplacement on Copacabana is perfect, close to a lot of things. The dormitories are quite small but ok. The bathrooms aren't very clean, but it is ok as their is so many people coming and going!! It is cleaned every day.Good parties organised as well. There is always something to do! The price is correct even if there is a big difference between the dorms even though they all look a like! I recommend it!!

The main plus of this hostel is proximity of Copacabana. Expect miniature bathrooms, not particularly clean and cramped room up to the ceiling, with inadequate facilities for the capacity. If you can, avoid the most expensive, 9-bed rooms, because otherwise you\'ll have to endure loud music blaring from the bar just outside the room\'s window night after night. That someone might want to get some sleep concerns no one. People stealing food from common fridge is not the hostel\'s fault, I guess.

While the atmosphere and people were good there are few important things that need to be improved. Air Conditioning is required in every room - rio is too hot during summer not to have it! The showers were never hot warm at best this needs to be rectified with a bigger capacity heater given the number of people staying there. A seperate male and femal toilets and showers required and more of them - very key. In its current state for accomadation I would not reccomend stating at this hostel.

As with all hostels it's often about the other people staying at the same time, I met a really good bunch and there was a really good atmosphere. The Copacabana hostel has an outside seating area which really helps to give a communal space, they often had dinners, a bar and there was something suggested for most nghits. Would recommend but it could do with a bit of talc and looking after.
