The wifi was very bad, the staff members were very rood, anytime I would ask for direction or how to get to a location they seemed very annoyed, there was however one sweet staff member who was from Colombia who was very helpful. One day my friend and I were 5min late for breakfast, they threw the food away rather than give it to us to eat. Awfull horrible place

Nice hostel, but claustrophobic small rooms. For Rio this is normal though... The Misti House has nice location and friendly staff. Nice breakfast.

Very very helpful staff! I had a huge Problem they helped me a Lot. Good Hostel to feel HOME. I was missing an Outside area altough there was One Little for smokers. It Is the only Hostel i had which has a Chef! He cooks exzellent Dinner for only 8 reales ! And he loves his work you can Taste in in the Food. If you Not looking for a Open Air rooftop Or a terrace go there!

Good: the staff is nice, and every evening lot of people sit in the lobby and chat. the sheets pretty clean there and the mattress are comfortable. Bad: i hate to shower there . every 5 second you need to press the bottun so the water keep flowing. quiet annoying.

The rooms were pretty small so could get cramped at times, but good value for the location, and only 5 minutes from the beach. The staff were brilliant, and very very friendly, helping us with any requests. Marcos event took us out to a local samba party in the street one night. Great hostel for meeting other people.

The free shuttle from the airport was a mess. Nobody knew I was coming even though I had written a mail in advance that nobody had read.

Hostel wasn't clean, sheets smelled really badly. Rooms were small with triple bunk beds, which is not really comfortable. The atmosphere overall was nice and brakefast really good. Location was OK, but would recomend a hostel in Leblon

I love the vibe in the hostel, they cook big dinners every night for cheaper than you will find in Rio. They have a little bar there with cheap drinks and the bar tender is super helpful and friendly. The only thing I really hated was how they crammed so many people into the rooms, 3 levels bunks and with so many in the room I didnt even have space for my bag in the room and ended up leaving it in the hall way which was annoying. Breakfast was really good too.

Good hostel! Great common areas, awesome atmosphere. It would be great if you add liquid soap next to the sinks at the toilets. The room was ok, we were lucky we were able to avoid the bed just under the AC, but it's never nice the person who gets that place.

Good hostel in a great location in cococabana. excellent breakfast including pancakes. Nice atmosphere in communal area, good wifi and computer access. not so keen on the triple layer bunkbeds and slightly stuffy room but would recommend this place, has everything needed for a great time in Rio.

Whilst being ideally located and secure, the cleanliness of the hostel was that of the lowest standard I have seen in my 5 years of travelling.

Terrible staff that were no help and the night guy doesn't speak English. Nothing in this location except sketchy bars. The hostel was grossly over pricing people (shame on misti house) for day trips and tickets to events. No a/c during the day anywhere in the hostel. Smoking in the common room, my locker was broken. The people I met were great but everyone was upset about this hostel. The guy making drinks at night made cups of ice rather with no drink.

Nice place to stay if you love good caipirinhas (Marcos makes the best ones!). Breakfast and dinner are also very nice. Rooms are clean, but the female dorm is in the cellar with nearly no space. Anyway, it's a fun hostel to stay!
