Nice place, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Had appreciated a sharp knife in the kitchen and individual reading lights, though.
The service and stay was great overall! There is free breakfast in the mornings and dessert in the afternoons. It's a great environment to meet people and hang out, especially if you're traveling solo. Wifi service can be a little spotty, but it worked most of the time. The staff is really informative of things to do and how to get around. They also speak English and Spanish which is helpful!

Rally liked this hostel; great breakfast, nice kitchen and very clean. The best thing, however, was the staff! Only downside was the cramped room and the triple bunks... would still stay here again though.
Not a bad hostel, great location down a quiet street but still very close to Copacabana and necessities like pharmacies, supermarkets, atm. Typical Rio hostel with cramped rooms but generallt clean. Good clenaing staff always keeping the bathrooms in order too. Good hot water. Decent Brazillian breakfast of bread, ham, cheese, fruit and juice.
Stayed here for 1 week and had a great stay. Great location (only a few minutes from copacobana beach), friendly helpful staff who are able to book tours etc, good clean rooms and bathrooms. Highly recommended
i had an awesome time here at the hostel, the staff was great, the location is excelent cause it is 5 blocks away from the beach, there is also cheap and good food!!!!! ; ) I specially liked the atmosphere that Oscar and Santi created during my stay. Unfortunately I couldn´t go hand gliding with Santi just because of the weather, I hope I can do it next time!! I totally recommend El Misti!!!!
El Misti hostel was great, the staff were awesome, always willing to help you out with a smile, especially the young girl on reception. The rooms were a bit small and I am not a fan of triple bunks. Breakfast was alright, the hostel provided lots of info about tours and activities.
Nice hostel, all the employees there were great except one guy who was not helpful at all, but that is just a minor stain on the hostel. Overall the place was very nice, and the location is just a couple blocks from the copacabana beach.
