Great place with great character. The only downside was the traffic noise because its right on the main road.

Pan America highway noise was so loud no one can sleep, highway is expending, more noise. No staff. one house keeper, speak no English at all, was only person dose everything all day. Owner must be millionaire, Mariana, didn't care to even show up. It feels this place will close down very soon. Over priced!!! Have traveled over 40 countries, El Punto makes us very ANGRY!!!

I want to recommend El Punto because it's very charming. Sadly when we were there they were chopping down all the trees in front because, as we learned from a taxi driver, they're going to be widening the highway. That will mean months of contruction and then there will be lots of highway traffic! It's really too bad because it was a nice place to stay. The rooms are cool with lofts in each & the shared space is nicely furnished with lots of art work. Staff was friendly & breakfast was super.

After a hesitant beginning, we wound up being quite pleased with the room, its proximity to nearby shopping, eating and banking facilities . The breakfasts were excellent. Having a kitchenette was a great advantage. The sitting patio proved to be comfortable and useful. Despite being near a central intersection, it is just far enough off the road to be quiet and even attract some bird life. Bottom line: it worked for our needs. They might work on the approach and entry way.

Very clean and comfortable. Noisy, but Liberia is noisy. Staff was great. Breakfast was very nice. Parking lot was guarded at night. Most expensive place we stayed in Costa Rica, so it felt a little overpriced, but maybe it's a good deal for Liberia.

Spent 2 nights at El Punto in Liberia on our arrival to Costa Rica. Nothing fancy, but clean, quite and comfortable. The room we had was lofted with 2 single beds for our kids in the loft. We arrived late and the keys were waiting for us. Staff was friendly and helpful although they spoke only a little english. Breakfast was great! We felt very safe and secure during our stay. I would recommend El Punto as a good place to stay in Liberia.

El Punto is a lovely and unusual place with very friendly staff and excellent breakfasts but its location next to a very busy junction of the Interamericnana Highway means that the trafic noise is near intolerable. It is alos nowadays squeezed between a huge new garage and a new shopping mall - the adjacent well-thought-of restaurant has closed. If only it could be lifted intact and moved to a better location!

The correction of the booking was difficult since I never reçoived an answer from my Imail. But at the arrival there was no probleme, they changed the reservation without problem.

We loved El Punto. Maria was wonderful, and served us the most delicious breakfast every morning. Even though it is on a very busy street, once you go into the little courtyard you are instantly relaxed and feel as though you are on an island retreat. Additionally, it is within an hours drive to most of the North Western beaches, which has some great surf- perfect for day trips. I would highly recomment this B&B to anyone travelling in the area.

This is a stop-over hotel. Not really much to see. We thought there was a pool, maybe because of the bright and sunny website, but there's just lots of weird kids toys laying around the yard. I didn't like how there was only one sliding lock on our hotel door that seemed easy enough to kick in. Communication with hotel staff only in Spanish. Also, the hotel does NOT have a shuttle service... not sure why we were under that impression. It's $25 to get to the Liberia airport via taxi.
