The hostel is good but the owners or employees (i don't know) use it as if it were their own house, including personal friends during the day playing Playstation or at night for dinner, leaving little space for real guests.

Me gustó mucho porque los empleados eran simpáticos y era un lugar en lo que me sentía segura y feliz. Había todo de que necesitaba: una buena ubicación, computadoras, 2 duchas/baños, la cocina completa, candados, espacio afuera, un tele y toallas/mantas. Un buen precio por todo, también. Se lo recomendaría.

Pase un día Excelnte en un clima inmejorable, con nuevos amigos

Great and friendly staff. Good tours. freshly baked cake for breakfast every morning. Great if you think dulce de leche is the best thing in the world. The 8 person dorm was decorated so that every 4 bed had their own compartment wich gives a little more privacy in a 8 bed dorm. The garden was a perfect meeting place.

Great hostel. It was the perfect getaway from BA´s busy streets. Life in Mar del Plata (and Refugio) is simple: The beach by day and partying nearby at night. This hostel felt like a home with a huge backyard in the back where I spent much time. The owners are great and everyone I met there had good vibes. Watch out for the shower, I burned myself every shower I took. And strangely, the was never toilet paper left in the bathrooms. But those are my only two complaints, you´ll love El Refugio!
