A nice, family-oriented hostel. Staff are often too busy to help, as the owners take on all the cleaning and day-to-day functioning themselves, but they always provided a wonderful breakfast. The hostel organizes tours that are comparable in price to any in town, with nice, small group sizes. In my time there, 2 couples left because they wanted more of a party atmosphere, and the owner did not like them organizing their own tours, independant of the hostel. A great quiet place to recharge.

Great location, near to the beach and wth supermarkets and ATMS all in waking distance. Gladys and her husband who work there are extremley freindly and helpful and they made it very easy for me to get my tours booked and to enjoy my time in Puerto Madryn.

We had a very good stay of multiple nights in this hostel. The owner is very friendly and gives very good information about all the things you can do in and around Puerto Madryn. The company they work with for booking tours provides good service, English gides & affordable prices. When we had other requests, she made all the necessary phone calls. The rooms have very good beds, the shower is hot with enough power, the heater works perfectly at any time and the rooms are cleaned every day!

El Retorno was a lovely and quiet hostel which made us feel right at home. Gladys and Mathias are very warm and welcoming hosts who helped us find tours and gave us information about anything we were interested in doing. The hostel is incredibly clean and comfortable, the showers are warm and the breakfast is tasty! It's a fantastic place to go if you're interested in seeing wildlife around Puerto Madryn as it's very quiet so you'll be able to rest well after long days out!

The hostel itself is nice, clean throughout and plenty of space. They provided free pick up from the bus station at 7am which was good. The breakfast is served to you which is nice but it was just tea or coffee and bread, butter and jam. The room was warm and the shower was hot and had good pressure. We felt that we were pressured into agreeing to do the tours in the local area through the hostel - as soon as we arrived and had a coffee we were being shown videos of the tours to sign up to.
